My 10 year old and 11 Yr old boys will be coming to Ghana in January to go to boarding school. They are having trouble in School everytime. Can't say too much but my dream has finally come through for my boys. They live with their father. And thankfully his eyes are opening. Will be there 1000 for my children while they live in a clean environment learn and grow. The boys are very excited They going to Africa Ghana. By the way I'm liberian living in canada. Working on my return to my root by his grace.
As a continental African I am always over joyed when our people from the diaspora return home. I always wish them every success in everything they endeavour to accomplish. Shout out to Ghana for being a place where many from the diaspora are finding their home.

That was deeeeep. I remember when I discovered my ability to hate, people (especially my family) thought/think that I'm the one with the problem. As Vicki Dillard usually says "We are the most loving and forgiving people on the planet." Our open enemy never forgives.
It’s interesting watching the host as he listens to the experience and realizes that he has NO CLUE! He can not relate to the brother’s life experience. What a lesson to learn. I pray for blessings upon his family. I think his statement of comfort is not freedom…priceless.
I wouldn't say the interviewer was clueless but asked the good questions. His questions made the interview engaging, because if they didn't Mr. Issac would not have given such tremendous feedback.
he's not clueless the host been TRAUMATIZED and the guest. the reason it seems ODD to watch them interact is the host kept some of his Culture during Colonization. the guest not so much

I agree it is deep and have enjoyed listening to Mr. Torrey give his reasons for moving. It was extremely touching and educative. I live in Canada and the stories for the black people are the same. Please keep educating the people on the motherland so that they understand how we have got to free ourselves from this shine which is not really shine. In North America, you are not taught about African American history. The system is so broken and some events have woken up people and so glad you and your family made that bold move. You have set yourselves free and can breathe again.

You are so lucky to have a family like you do, I tried, I didn't know how to bring my family to work together, I am now 80 years old and sick. I now ĺive in the philippine I never made it back to Africa but I have asked my kids when I die, please spread my ashes in AFRICA.

Man I felt those punches to my ribs around the 40th min. 😂😂😂 he is right. But if you speak your mind concerning this issue, they will call you rebellious. It’s a hard pill for Ghanaians to swallow but there is wisdom in what he speaks. Ghana has some very great values and culture. With a few changes and understanding we can be even greater. The African Americans carry some hard facts and so we must listen to them and learn from them. They too need to unlearn the pain and anger and learn to be free, have peace and enjoy life like Ghanaians. We can definitely live together for the good but it will be a journey to watch. "We got comfortable" this quote is so very accurate. Too many Africans in the Diaspora are comfortable. House, car, diploma, degrees, free to smoke weed and still the only Black child in a all yt school are trophies of comfort.
We are not comfortable, there’s so much racism that we kind of ignore which is very detrimental especially to our kids. I have 4 kids and I have cried so many nights because of the injustice and evil treatment my kids and I have endured. White people do not consider us equal, they will never accept us and it’s high time we accept it and separate from them. I am going back home to the motherland among my own.
Also let me add I have watch so many videos on Ghana with expats. they give their info to reach out if anyone are interested in moving to Ghana and I have done so many times because I have my ticket and will be there November 2023 I’m yet to hear back from anyone

@Webnation Africa You wanted Torrey to stay on the subject matter of Ghana. He did that but not first explaining the “whys”… He wasn’t leaving Ghana out of the interview. However, every time he spoke of the things/events that took place in South Carolina he was lifting Ghana up! Torrey kept going back to to the “west” because he HAD to. Doing that helped so many people to innerstand, not understand but, have a inside mental/visual perspective and awareness of what he went through in order to answer your questions pertaining to why/what decisions brought him and his family to Ghana. Torrey was very in-depth about a whole lot of things! This interview in particular was not “entertaining” it was very enlightening as well as informative. Torrey was not leaving any stone unturned! If Torrey has more to say… ASK HIM FOR ANOTHER INTERVIEW!!!! To me, this is one of your best interviews by far… great work

This is one of the best interviews, I have ever seen on your channel. The intelligence and awareness of this brother made this interview go so quickly. He made so many good points about us and the challenge on the continent. This is the diasporan super power, to see all Africans as our brothers and sisters and pull us all together. The same thing that was used to oppress us; being reduced to “skin color”. Can now be used to unite us. Especially on the continent, where they’re so many separate countries and tribes. This was a great interview. I send all of these videos to my children but I hope they are watching them. I feel as though I have failed them as a parent because I didn't wake up until Floyd, until 1/06, until Covid. How do I get my children to see what I see now when I raised them to accept it. I was taught to except it and I taught them to accept it.
