In this video, I’ll show you how to build a grill table. This grill station can be used with any kamado grill or green egg. I combined sapele and eucalyptus hardwood for some contrast, and both of these woods are perfect for use in outdoor settings as they are very rot-resistant. This grill station is designed with slats to allow water to fall through the top instead of pooling, and it fits in the corner of patios and decks to maximize space. There is also some fun and challenging mortise and tenon joinery in this one. This woodworking project is a great way to get started with your own outdoor kitchen.

From 5:30 to 7:30 The word “mortise(s)” was used 20 times. That works out to an average rate of 1 “mortise” every 6 seconds. Which translates to 100MPH (mortise per hour). Impressive… oh, and the build is absolutely amazing as always.

Distracted. I prefer not having any music play when I'm working on something needing a lot of focus. At most I listen to instrumental music instead of music with vocals. That grill stand looks amazing! Those subtle curves and use of different species of wood really works well. I feel a 32 min video just does not convey all the hours of work you put into this. I also found the panto router segment of the video very satisfying to watch. I also very nearly spat out my morning coffee with laughter at the tip-toe joke 🤣

I find it so interesting that so many people share the same feeling about needing to pay attention in the shop. Thanks so much. Yeah this project was a ton of work and I had to unfortunately cut quite a bit for the sake of time and not being too redundant. I actually had a lot of concerns about that during the editing process mainly because I don’t think people really love watching milling which was a big part of this project. That and just working through all the different components. Glad you enjoyed it man!

@@TimberBiscuitWoodworks I guess it's similar to turning down the music in the car when you're looking for a parking spot 🤷‍♂️ Watching the video didn't feel like you left things out. Focused and distracted. I've got a combo of bluetooth speakers and over-ear bluetooth headphones, so I like music when I've got all my stuff ready to saw, sand, router, or other tool that goes "Brrrttt." Then the speaker is for layouts, assemblies, etc. However, there are some days where my brain just will not do math, and I've got to shut the music off, wrestle the brain into compliance, and proceed. Then again, no podcasts here as those would definitely distract me, so it's 100% rage metal all the time. I like your grill stand, dude. I think the subtle leg curves are the chef's kiss - it makes it reminiscent of Arts and Crafts to me, which is my favorite. I agree with the other commenters that an update on the weathering of this would be cool. I'd also like your opinion after some use on that Grizzly drill press!

Thank you! Skip planing is where the boards are relatively flat, but not perfectly flat so you run them through the planer on one face, then flip the board over and run it through on the other face. This gets the boards flat enough to use, but it’s not the traditional way toflatten them.
