Have they fixed the issue of losing your measurements and having to start over again every time the phone rings? That’s why I quit using mine. It works great as long as no one calls while using it. Thanks in advance for the response
Impressive, I can see this being a real time saver. Now if they could reverse it as well for doing layouts on the ground from a drawing, great for pool excavations.
I wish someone would make a video of measuring pool for dimensions for replaster. I've seen a lot of circumference, but how would you add lengths that you can't actually put the device? Or in a perfect world make me a waterproof one.
I'm a fan of squaring up any area which would need re-sodding. The time to when all areas are again homogenous is better served with a solid space engineered. My take..... I use a measuring wheel now; but, the smaller jobs, comparable to the 3 foot square example you gave@ the beginning of the usage example, would be so much easier with this tool. That is a decision changer for me. Only $350 for my company. It's a small additional investment, to accompany & enhance, my current device (ios). Thank You,
This looks great. Would you be able to measure indoors, such as within a room with an entrance door and an exit door. Would it show those doors, or would you have to continue the measurement with the door included? Also, are the final measurements downloadable to print? I am just curious as this may have great capabilities for crime scene or accident investigation measurements.
Moasure will have to chime in on where the functionality is at, but I know that they are working with a floorplan software to start doing more in that arena!
Hi Bill. Yes you can use it indoors. We're partnering with an awesome floorplan software company that would allow you to "enrich" the room outline with doors and windows etc. Here is more info, it's not released yet: www.moasure.com/blogs/news/moasure-scribe-floorplan-integration We''ll likely improve the measuring workflow, to make it easier to pick and "note" key features such as windows and doors, but the first release will likely mean you have to add them in Scribe after measuring up the room with Moasure.
Excellent demonstration Brad. Equally good production quality. Really like that you put forth the extra effort and include timestamps in your descriptions.
I do mostly softscape installation and design. I think I’m gonna get one of these… When I have to create drawings for clients it’s quite a difficult process for me too measure out an entire site and get planting beds to scale. With this I could measure the house and the future landscape beds and they can all be to scale and relative to one another. I’m getting real excited about this… I don’t even care if it’s off by a couple feet even. To be able to get that basic site plan layout outlined and printed out so I could do my drawings by hand would be majorly beneficial. Right now I basically estimate some measurements because it’s just too tedious to try and get curved bed lines accurate on a drawing. And to be able to get the square footage of irregular shaped beds!!! Omg. I could literally do estimates based on square footage rather than quantity of plants etc. This is huge thanks for sharing
It looks like they have sales so I don't want to put a price since it might be outdated in the future (and someone reads this and things that is the price three years from now), but current price is right here: www.moasure.com/products/moasure-one
thats neat kinda like high end measuring units used by kitchen installers . just add a small amount of whatever material your installing for the possible overage/under coverage .
Been enjoying your videos lately! I work for a landscape company down here in Gainesville, but really enjoy watching other properties getting cleaned up!
ANYTIME there's an "app" involved, privacy and personal data red alerts should go off. Does the app have advertising? If you've paid for the app do you still have advertising? Does it need an internet connection to work (maybe I'm way out in the country...). I haven't dived into how this works so I'll just leave it at that. Getting past that concern, I'd like to see an ability to attach it to a telescoping pole somehow, and waterproof, to be able to place it in hard to reach spots, and/or not to have to keep bending over (I'm a Senior, ok?) for every reading. BTW, it looks like this was invented without awareness that land surveyors have been doing something very similar for ...centuries?
Good questions about the app! I never saw any advertising during my usage. Not sure about the internet, as I was always connected when using. I like the idea of a pole so you don't have to bend over! I wouldn't say they invented it without awareness, seems like they are wanting everyone to be able to do what surveyors do but with only one piece of equipment and less training.
@@CopperCreekCuts Ok, the last one showed a bit of cynicism, but it's about the placing the hockey puck and picking it up to grab a point thing. A surveyor would surely scoff. I know they aren't it's intended audience, but my pole thought would solve a couple issues I see with it, and I got that from training and working as a surveyor in a 'previous lifetime'. ... So I did some digging and it does look pretty cool, and in one of their videos there's a brief glimpse of a guy with one on a stick getting an interior point on a balcony(?). But couldn't find any mention of it as an accessory you could add. $10/mo subscription gets you the ability to export as DXF, a kind of universal CAD standard. That'd be pretty handy. They claim IP65 water resistant, so you'd be okay to use it in wet grass but don't check the depth of your pond with it. Bluetooth 5 which theoretically gives you a range of 1000 meters outside, but more likely 400 or so. And I heard it here on CCCLC first!
@@ChuckD59 Hey Chuck. Thanks for checking out the Moasure ONE in more detail. Having the Moasure ONE on an extension pole is our most popular request! We've previously recommended a universal selfie stick, but we found it led getting inaccurate results with Moasure. So we've just been designing a bespoke extension pole - here is a sneak peak of it: vimeo.com/439324502/62c8c06319 With respect to checking the depth of a pond or pool. You'd likely be able to "dip" the Moasure ONE safely (depending on the depth), it's pretty well sealed. However the challenge is the water would "kill" the Bluetooth connection between the Moasure ONE and your Smartphone and you wouldn't be able to get a measurement. We could solve this by having a hard wire connection between the Moasure ONE and the smartphone for these instances - but it's all down to customer demand right now. ps. With respect to our app. We don't have advertising in it and it's main focus is essentially to be the user interface for our device.
