Something about the french mocking you when you make a mistake speaking french. It comes from french schools, when you are in a french class from the youngest age your teacher points out mistakes, frequently asking the other kids "he/she shouldn't have said it like that, what's the proper way to say this ?". It ingrains a reflex in a lot a french people that, when someone makes a mistake when speaking a language, you dwell on it, and you correct him/her. That's also the reason why many french people have a low english level, at least spoken english, because when you know you'll be scrutinized and ridiculed by the other kids if you try to speak in an english class, you end up not trying. That's why a lot of french people use the hard french accent and don't even attempt any effort for an english pronounciation, they fear being mocked by others.

Faut pas non plus exagérer, ca se sent qu'ils sont très peu à l'aise et ils ont un vocabulaire très peu fourni. n'importe quel élève de 3ième parle français mieux qu'eux, et la encore je pense que je suis pas assez objectif. Le titulaire de la chaîne est toutefois je trouve bcp plus naturel.
Je crois que les français aiment bien pouvoir aider à l’apprentissage de la langue. Mais des fois on hésite a vous reprendre pour ne pas risquer de vous vexer. Donc n’hésitez surtout pas à dire à vos interlocuteurs français de vous signaler les erreurs, ça vous aidera à progresser sans créer de gêne.
Je pratique parle le français depuis plus d’un an et je pense que c’est votre meilleure vidéo car le dialogue est naturel et non répété. Merci beaucoup et s’il vous plaît faites plus comme ça.

In this type of case, "en", being the direct object of the verb, cannot be removed from the sentence. But sometimes "en" can be removed from the sentence. It is then not a direct object complement, and the past participle agrees with its true COD: He remembers his childhood and tells us about his memories of it. (COD) Here, the COD is "that", which takes up "memories", and not "in", which represents "from his childhood" (> he tells us about the memories he kept from his childhood In This case "en" takes UP vidéo Faîtes plus de vidéos comme ça = faîtes-EN plus comme ça. Got it?
Because 'faîtes' only is like 'do' as an order, exemple : 'faîtes PLUS de vidéos comme ça' But when you say 'faîtes-en', it's like 'do IT more like this'. In french that's more common to use 'faîtes-en plus, faîtes-en encore' than faîtes encore

My secret is that when I go to speak French, I think about my nominal French ancestry, then I consider how roughly half of English words are French in origin, next reminding myself how this came to be because the French conquered and ruled over our barbarian British subjects, and then finally holding back a self-satisfied "honh, honh, honh, honh, honh" chuckle deep in the recesses of my mind, _et maintenant, je suis prepare a parler francais!_

The best way to learn any language, is to listen to a lot of content, interview, films, TV shows, music. And just to absorb it. Then when you hit the baquw work by phasis, focus on casual, then technical, and professional variations. You'll master it easily, it's not that difficult. You've got to trust yourself. It's like learning anything else, you can do it, the worst is to put barriers or to be afraid to try or speak it.
I loved this. So inspiring. It's interesting that French conversation is monotone. I just speny 10 days in rural France and used the words I had as best I could I also came home with new ones. It's amazing how much you absorb without realizing. That's not to say you don't need to work hard at it. What will I do now? Watch French films and continue in my lessons.
Excellent video! I learned a lot! I can follow most simple sentences here, but, like many beginners, I have difficulty forming sensible, grammatically correct responses. French is beautiful but DIFFICULT! 🥰

Je sais pas pour vous, moi je suis française, et j'ai beau être parfaitement bilingue en anglais. Je fatigue énormément psychologiquement quand je suis en Angleterre et que je dois le parler à plein temps. Le français, l'intonation, sa construction, ses sonorités, l'intention, je dirai même me manque, cruellement. C'est très bizarre, le lien qu'on a avec sa langue maternelle, on réalise quand on est dans un autre contexte, à quel point on l'aime et on est confortable avec. Je sais pas si je suis la seule à avoir ce sentiment la, c'est très étonnant.
@@juliedacosta9930 Non vous n'êtes pas seule! Je n'ai pas l'explication précise mais c'est une sorte de "fatigue cognitive" tout à fait naturelle. On se fatigue en parlant une autre langue quotidiennement, après le niveau de fatigue dépend des gens. Personnellement ça m'arrive et je sais que c'est le signe que j'ai besoin d'une pause, d'un peu d'air frais
Alex l'éponge ! Mais en fait, c'est de cette façon que les enfants apprennent leur langue, pas avec des livres et des règles théoriques. Bravo en tous cas car il faut avouer que la langue française est une langue difficile.
Il n'est pas nécessaire d'habiter en France pour bien parler français. Il faut un peu d'amour de la langue et de patience. J'habite à Mexico (j'ai étudié, vécu, voyagé aux USA... mais j'ai appris à parler anglais au Mexique) et j'ai des amis français, j'ai mon professeur particulier de français, j'étudie le français pour le plaisir (je ne besoin mais je l'apprends parce que j'aime la langue) et parce que je vais bientôt voyager à Paris. Je suis professeur d'espagnol et d'anglais (je parle 3 langues jusqu'à présent), ce qui me surprend le plus chez le garçon américain, c'est qu'il étudie la langue depuis de nombreuses années... en septembre, j'aurai 4 ans à étudier et enseigner l'anglais (je combine toujours les deux activités) et j'étudie le français depuis 6 mois (et j'ai l'impression que j'ai mis du temps à commencer ma nouvelle langue). Il faut étudier : la poétique et la prononciation (ce sont les clés pour tomber amoureux de n'importe quelle langue), les pratiques viennent plus tard et la répétition est indispensable. J'ai compris 80% de votre conversation avec sous-titre français. Merci😚

Ok à @2:06 je comprends que ni l'un ni l'autre ne parlent Français, sans même prendre en compte leurs accents respectifs et qu'on va avoir une belle démonstration de sabir! Je ne prétends pas parler Anglais de manière naturelle, même si en Amérique du Nord on me considère bilingue, mais là on est loin du compte...
Votre niveau à tous les deux est assez impressionnant. On détecte que vous n'êtes peut-être pas des locuteurs natifs, mais c'est bluffant. Tbh I don't even think there is a difference between the two of you, that's either several decades in the country or unnatural talent.
Je suis admiratif de vos efforts pour parler un français correct, mais j'avoue que c'est un peu difficile pour un natif comme moi de suivre une conversation comme la vôtre, parce que vous êtes en totale maîtrise, vous détachez vos mots, vous articulez lentement, et finalement tout cela manque de fluidité et de spontanéité. Mais ne vous inquiétez pas, vous savez parfaitement vous faire comprendre! Ne lachez rien !
Cher Jean-Pierre, à moins que je ne me trompe, nos deux amis détachent les mots et parlent lentement car leur objectif est d'être compréhensible pour des étrangers, pas forcément pour des francophones 🙂
As an American self taught in French for the last 39 years I was really interested to see how this would go. In Kyle's first sentence at 00:53, "Merci pour l'invitation," the word "invitation" has an American prononciation of the first and third syllables, "in" and "ta," so I knew from the get-go this wasn't going to be a remarkable demonstration of native-like French. French prononciation and intonation for English speakers is a real challenge and a fun one. Kyle is doing better at it than Alex and I admire them.
I agree. I’m French and I can hear a slight difference. But we can especially hear the skills differences, based on the expression you use and the gender mistakes.
I have the feeling that although you both have grasped the language, you both seem to struggle a bit, unsure if it's deliberately slow or you're both searching for words. The english guy seems a bit more sure. There are french people who speak slow, but the majority in my view speak so fast that novices would have problems in understanding anything.
His French isn't natural whatsoever. No need to use an hyperbole for everything. He speaks very well, he is fluent but he shows the typical difficulties the anglophones have. Some people do sound natural and that's not what we see on the video.
2:57 "quelle est la chose qui a fait le plus de différence pour toi dans ton parcours" Cette phrase n'est pas très française. On dirait plutôt : Qu'est ce qui dans ton parcours t'a permis de faire la différence ?
