I have a feelings Jonah had to be stuck in the middle of an Abusive relationship between his mom and father figure probably, Gabby, as she said is a guardian angel teaching Jonah what to do as a young child. Now with her own free will she can communicate with the older Jonah. Edit: This is only just a lil theory :P
Theory kinda looks like true. Because some of advices are actually helpful in abusive family(like blocking the door to your bedroom and then hiding in le closet). And if that wasn't true, then why every character turns to screen and call Jonah? Only because they *know* he's watching. I actually creeped out at 17th minute, as angel was basically telling jonah how to use a *knife* (probably to fight back)
@@Ivan_Galaxy actually it was more likely a gun. She asked for Jonah to hold it up so 'she can see what model it is' and she teaches him how to dissasemble it. You don't dissasemble a knife.
Reading this comment made me think it was going to be an absolutely gut wrenching ending. I am so happy that wasn't the case. I'm sick of these types of content ending horribly.
Gabriel when she talks to the Johnathan sounds like an actual serious bible verses, and when she talks to the viewers she sounds like an actual children cartoon with saying basic morals
17:45 Yeah, that's one of the scariest bits (Or ONLY SCARIEST in my opinion) in this wholesome ARG. The fact that the description is simple yet so clear for the audience to understand.... And the implications of HOW it got there and WHY Jonah is taking it apart frightens me
They really use their words carefully to tell you what's happening in this segment clearly but indirectly, we learn its something heavy, dangerous, and incriminating, so a weapon, and not many knives need to be disassembled It says a lot about how dangerous Jonah's father really was that the gun was just sitting out on a table
A lot of people seem to think Jonah was the one who killed his father, but Gabby specifically tells him to go stay with his friend and SHE will take care of everything ( 21:47 ) . Not to mention she also teaches him how to DISASSAMBLE a gun and asks him to hide the pieces, and I quot: "Where nobody can use them for harm." ( 17:36 ) We also don't really know what Gabby can do. She may only be able to talk to Jonah through her show or she could just as easily be creature of flesh and blood with supernatural powers. I also doubt a guardian angel would make their charge commit such a great and terrible act as murder.
Hmm, I don't know....remember Ark Angels - They were not actually nice beings to bad people. Kind of warrior angels. They killed.... women, men and babies. I would think a Guardian Angel might also be a not nice being to guard their person.
For some reason at the end of it all I just got a little emotional I don’t know why, it just hits me in the feelings despite the whole thing seeming mysterious and creepy at the start and through out. I feel genuinely emotionally star struck
So I wouldn’t really a call this series *”Analog Horror”* I’ve heard other people refer to it as: *”Wholesome Horror”* Though I think a better name for it is: *”Analog Horror minus the Horror”*
The more this went on the more it reminded me of a older family member who lives up the road from me. Rex is his name, decades ago when he was in high school he was arrested for shooting his dad, killed him. However, even to this day we don’t really know if Rex is the one who shot his dad, or if Rex just took the blame for his mom so she wouldn’t get in trouble for potentially murdering her abusive husband.
Oh this isn't the same "Angel" Gabriel we all know and love. Mr. "I know what you fear, I know what you dread, WAKE UP JONAH WAKE UP JONAH WAKE UP Wow this is the most wholesome analog horror (maybe analog happiness?) ever. She's not there to scare Jonah, but to be the guardian he needed the most in a dark period in his childhood. Even the next angel is evil. That stupid dog nightmare analog horror freaks me out more because of the eyeless dog that turns out to be a man.
20:48 It’s because you’re reading the King James Version. That version is a lot more difficult to understand because of the language used. The English Standard Version (ESV) is a lot easier to understand.
Ok seriously tho, this series has so much... well TOO much sweetness and wholesomeness for my cold heart. I have never cried for a cartoon/animation OR any movie in my life, except for this one, and man I needed it. I ALSO MISSED MY CHANCE TO GET ME AN ANGEL HARE PLUSHIE!!! IM MAD BRROOOO.
In my mind I think the mother probably was dating an abusive man who not only abused her but also Jonah. To the point Gabriel had taken notice. Probably was during a live showing she comforted him and would help him learn how to hide, bar his door, probably how to hide food( some abusive fathers starve their kids) and how to create an alibi. Gabby probably hid his memories and got rid of the records at the records department. The way she asked him to show her the type of gun practically says she probably hid the parts. Even had him get rid of the firing pin and probably even the trigger. ( like buried into the trashcan.) and when she saw him again noticed but probably doesn’t want to scare him until he spoke first. When he did she practically wanted to offer a hand. Probably inside almost cried herself.
As a Catholic myself and in my understanding- Proverbs 19 in terms of the consequences of lying- the results will be destruction/ruin to the person who lies. . .in other words, lying will negatively impact your life. Again, this is just my take. Some parts of the Bible are harder to decipher than others, especially in certain versions (though some parts are still the same).
The instructed disassemble of the “weapon” Johna was instructed how to do the realization of what it was and it’s implied future use gave me chils, he was instructed to preemptively disassemble a force multiplier so that it could not be used agains others,(presumably the rest of his family)
This is a great breath of fresh air, almost all the time lost tapes have the same "there is an ancient evil in the tapes" format and there's demons or ghosts or something,it's nice to get an angel who's actually honest and trying to help someone
I really like the interpretation of the "haunted vhs tape" trope, but this time the ghost is helping you. It's surprising no one has thought to do that before. I know the idea behind this could be very personal to some, being how faith in christianity can bring hope in such dark situations like an abusive father figure, and even though I don't have such feelings like that, ignoring that very personal aspect, I still think this whole idea is very creative!
21:27 It's almost scary to see contrast of copy and recording here, because copy said that lying is even worse than doing bad thing, but in recording, Gabby specifically tells Jonah to fabricate an alibi for himself, a lie, so he can evade punishment for possible bad things that could happen.
This isn't analog horror. It's found footage in the form of lost memories, a troubled past, and a treasured friendship that served a light through the darkest days.
This has peeked my curiosity, this experience is truely unique, and feels so wholesome, part of me kinda felt like, oh no, is she gunna be bad or awful, but around the end it felt so wholesome
Absolutely brilliant. It reminded me im not fully dead inside, just mostly. Do yall think the irl demon version of this is live leak, grew up on that shit...
Why does everyone make Gabriel either creepy or make him somehow into a villain?! He was the angel that told the Virgin Mary she would conceive the Son of God, declared the birth of Christ the Messiah, fought the Nephilim in the books of Enoch and he may have battled the demonic Prince of Persia with St. Michael in the Book of Daniel. Like nothing in lore makes Gabriel anything but our ally and a messenger of God in Scripture. This is legit really creepy and well done though!
6:52 *Bit of a trigger warning here, gonna mention some pretty dark themes.* If you don't want this comment here bc of that then 100% feel free to delete it, after you've read it ofc May I introduce you to the musical artist Pepoyo (also abbriviated as PPY) From what I know, she's a Japanese musical artist that has a realativley “cute” art style, known for her song Amedama or “candyball”. Well, her style isn't nessisaraly “cute” as in like sparkle eyes and pastel pink colors etc, but pretty it's chibi, and most of her songs are pretty upbeat! however her songs are rather dark, mostly about things like su//c//de etc. some are even kinda inappropriate tho- (I don't listen to those ones). Also there might be mentions of generally gross things like garbage, vomit, etc, so that's something else to watch out for. She also uses vocaloids like hatsune miku and vy1 a lot! The songs I currently listen to/reccomend are rakuraku annrakushi, plus or minus 0 (both the Og and miku only version, the miku only very actually has some lyrics change), dear, amedama/candyball, kahmihikouki/story of paper escape journey, and curse nerosis! So, in conclusion, pepoyo is a musical artist that has a realativley “cute” style and mostly upbeat songs, who also has absolutely no shame and will 100% start singing about dark topics with no warning whatsoever but in like the cachiest way possible I'm not sure what your musical tastes are or if you'd be interested in general, but hey, I saw an opportunity to share one of my fav musical artists with another fav youtuber (pepoyo is also a youtuber) and took it! thank you for coming to my pep talk
May I present to you Circus Hop by YonKaGor? It's a really good song that seeks all silly and cute but when you listen carefuly the lyrics and understand it's all in the perspective of someone offing themselves, they hit like a truck.
I like how people edit screenshots to make the characters saying something they don't for extra clicks, I also like hoe they add blood onto characters faces for extra effect
So you're telling me this guy has contact with his guardian angel.. how... this is like a fever dream, but i hope the creator releases more to the story
if you are reading his click off the video, its absolute clickbait, the show doesn't have a dark secret, there's nothing wrong or evil to be scared off, I've seen the series in its entirety, Gabriel (the bunny in the thumbnail) has no alterior motives, she is just an angel who has personalized experiences with different children. so if you want a scary children's show analog horror, play Amanda the adventurer on steam it doesn't cost that much and it's fun to play
While you're at it, go watch the actual Angel Gabby series! It's so much better without this dude interrupting it every 30 seconds! It's not scary; it's not an Analog Horror series; it's a nice and cozy series about revisiting the past and coming to terms with trauma.
Don’t feel dumb if you don’t understand what you read in the Bible at first. I still struggle to understand and usually have to find some other resources to help explain or break it down. 20:47
This seems like an... Interesting series... Though I'm not sure how I feel about how many people are calling this obvious horror story wholesome. Ok, but tbf maybe it's because none of y'all grew up in abusive households and haven't been around firearms that such info is missed, hopefully, because the implications were so painfully obvious to me that the MC had an abusive father figure, not sure if husband or boyfriend, and this "angel" escalated things from how to avoid and cope with living this guy to most likely instructing the kid to shoot him with his own weapon, considering she wanted to get a good look at the model to be able to instruct them in precisely how to disassemble it then instructed them on where to hide the parts after making sure no one else was around to witness what happened. That should concern everyone since I really feel like a real angel would've sent this kid to the police instead of instigating a murder, and y'all call that bunny wholesome I'm convinced this creature is actually a demon, especially since demons aren't stupid if they exist, they'd wanna appear friendly and nice and use half truths to deceive and push people over the edge, so I expect a much more subtle story then Amanda the Adventurer and y'know what... I wanna see more. It's so rare to see a demonic or evil presence portrayed as the victim's best friend and nothing but nice from their perspective and it's honestly refreshing amongst the sea of such obviously evil for the sake of evil monster tropes that never once make you question your belief in what they truly are. This thing though... The peak of deception. Bring it on, I'll bring the popcorn
Oh gawd baz! I'm late! I don't deserve to watch your videos anymore.😔 THATS OK! watching it on my spare comfortable time is always the best and that time is now.
Either the tape is possessed by the Devil or by an actual angel that needs to protect Jonah for some reason. I'm not religious so it gets a bit confusing but I'm getting the vibes this'll be like the Mandela Catalogue in that by knowing what happens in the Bible you can predict what'll happen in future episodes, as Jonah is a Biblical name of course Edit: I believe Francis is meant to be a friar, as that's where the name comes from.
No, the tapes are normal. It's the original broadcast that is angelic by nature and has the purpose of sending a guardian angel to a kid in need (in this case, Grabrielle being sent to Jonah so he can protect himself against his abusive father until they both think that the only solution is killing him) Also, in season 2, it is revealed that Francis ia a prophet 😅 He has primonitory dreams and the eggs he makes in the easter video seens to all be predictions directed to Gaby.
