this is so true. to be honest I would denie the chance to see players stats in game. Stats bring nothing to the actual gameplay . "look at thenoob healer 30k heal... look at the dmg with no dmg" and so on. Stats check is the bread and butter of the flamers
I think this isn't even technically true. The thing is: if a person makes a mistake and writes "mb" you say "np" and all goes on. The game will flow and you may win or loose. If the person starts flaming everyone else instead... you see the error more severe AND it will increase chances to loose massively because everyone gets tilted and typing.
@@KVPMD You make a good point that we see the negative sides of flamers more, but I think there is still a correlation between weak players and flaming, merely enhanced by our perception. Whether that is true or not, I cannot reliably say for lack of data. It's what I perceive and remember. If true, it would be very interesting to have a psychology educated person speculate about it further. I've always assumed it's a simple case of deflection based on personal insecurity enhanced by lack of skill and lack of positive feedback. Like if a guy is insecure and needs to prove himself to demonstrate value, they cannot admit to making mistakes, so they deflect, which leads to flaming. _If I insult you, nobody is going to point at me because I'm pointing at you first. I have value because I'm good at the game and your arguments against my skill are moot because you are my enemy and evidently at fault because your HERO DAMAGE is low and mine is higher, so you are bad. Ad nauseam._ Edit: To be fair, anyone insecure could land in that trap, even if they're good at the game. I'm assuming lower skilled players simply have more negative experiences with the game, are getting more negative feedback and so are more likely to deflect.
Answer to myself: TILT! There is a correlation between tilt and flaming as well as a correlation between tilt and playing poorly. I know I suck when I'm tilted. And I'm also a massive bitch when tilted. So it's likely not "bad player --> flaming" or "flaming --> bad player". It's more like "tilt --> flaming and bad player".
@@onkelpappkov2666 Also when a game goes bad it's more likely people will flame. And (keeping yourself out) in 1/4 cases that's the root already. And when someone is the main cause it is likely they have the worst experience in the game (dieing, low damage, people dont follow etc) so even more likely. So there are at least 3 correlations already we know without any of them being directly about flaming making you bad and vice versa. (Factors: - Tilt - Bad experiences - Bad game more likely to have a flamer then good game
So I'm very glad to see I'm not alone in the world. I just started playing and anytime I run into a gigantic asshole who criticizes any talents, tactics or anything are always by far the worst on the team.
been climbing silver this season with some tanks. just went up against a TLV, after 13 just need 2 skills to drop enough beetles and burn any tlv to death
Turning off chat is for people with no spine lol. Just play well, and if someone who sucks is flaming you then shrug it off. If they make a good point, then hey you learned something. Losing communication with your team intentionally is goofy haha.
