Another way to run this build is as follows: Change the mask to a Coyote, the chest to a Striker’s (w/Armor) and the backpack to Liquid Engineer (Essentially a Memento but with instant bonus armor). This should give you some survivability if you are on consoles
kinda piss after testing damage on a dummy is good but not that different from other setups but you never get 200 stacks on anything except like legendary or countdown and using the acs for stacks mean you cant stack chameleon obliterate seems to work best because the damage comes quickly at a higher value than a striker stack (0.65% without the backpack vs obliterate's 1%) you also get more chd/chc because of the additional minor attribute, and you can also get a brandset bonus on there as well which either mean more upfront damage or utility like armor regen or haz pro the only thing this has going for it with liquid engineer is the instant bonus armor, which is also unnecessary if you're in the enemy's face trying with a chameleon and insta killing small mobs anyway the memento in this case gives more bonus armor on a 2 blue core as well, because the memento has all 3 core attributes on it, you do not lose any armor core MEANING it will give 20% bonus armor on a dogtag pickup the memento also provide 30% weapon damage with its long term buff to make up for the loss of the backpack talent, without needing to stack when you get into a fight, these buff also provide 3% armor regen and 30% skill efficiency as well this is not counting the other short term buff on dogtag pickup which is an insane number of raw damage at 5% PER EACH damage core this build is kinda a solo build that tries to play selfishly and get kills with some survivability on a hybrid of blue and red cores, and if you're doing that route without the memento, you're missing out on a ton of stats
I use this build as well but I run it with a Fenris chest piece with Braced to give more weapon handling and Picaros holster and it shreds through everything especially at full stacks
I run 2pc Petrov for even more handling. 10% from Petrov 2 pc bonus and the named Petrov chest with Perfect Braced. Second piece of Petrov is Contractors. Albeit on that build I am speccing totally into weapon handling with Strikers. Its actually pretty amazing. On my other Strikers weapon handling build I use Perfect Focus and Foxs Prayer with Burnout and Acs12. I'm gonna try it with Picaros for the 6 red 1 blue setup as well
I was just talking to my clan member about this. I ran the striker build with the coyote mask with the chameleon and building the stacks to hit over 1m takes a while but once you get there, it shreds
by far my favorite exotics in the game I feel its very underrated people just misuse it try to face tank without the buffs active because with all buffs running hunters fury and intimidate full stack I'm getting 1.2m crit headshots
I'm not as high as you are, but you should put a disclaimer in your video's. In order for the weapon to work as good as it does for you, the player needs to be at a certain SHD lvl to reap the benefits. If someone is just starting out or is at SHD 200 or so, it won't be the same results.
The accuracy is good at medium range, long range is bad because of damage fall off. I use this gun all the time and it is an AR and SMG, it's a 50/50 with an amazing talent
Chameleon is my top #1 gun i use.. It lets you strat on who to shoot and where. As for normal enemies i go chest high.. For Juggernauts/Heavy i hit the legs to get the faster reload to trigger then go back to putting pressure on the chest and head..
Just put this together with Coyote mask and non god-rolled striker gear and I’m laughing at how quick I drop enemies. Can’t wait to max this build out. Thanks for sharing.
I run Chamelon with Strikers and weapon handling on every roll. 2 pc Petrov (named chest with Perfect Braced, and Contractors). 2 pc Petrov gives even more weapon handling. Its a laser and almost instant reload, Striker stacks gain very fast and stay active, coupled with chest and leg Chameleon buffs, its an insane setup. Ive always thought the point of Strikers is to spec into weapon handling because you don't miss shots hardly ever. 190% weapon dmg with Striker BP full stack and chest Chamelon buff active. All reds. Gunner for Banshee pulse, AOK and ammo regen. Secondary either Tabula Rasa or New Reliable to take advantage of Petrov lmg dmg passive. Dope build that makes Heroic feel like Normal, with the right stacks I can one clip Chungas and named bosses quick.
Hello my friend, 😀 What I love about you is that you take old builds that you did a few years ago (in this case 2 years ago) to improve them and thus show us or let us discover their incredible power. The Chameleon is so underrated when it has a huge damage up and it lasts 45 seconds, plus the refresh outside of combat is downright insane. We always talk about the Eagle Bearer as an incredible weapon but it is not the only one and you give the proof once again here. Your excel table is really nice, you spent time designing it because it is very precise (if I knew how to do the same for my build calculations, I would be more precise in my choice of building parts), however why do you take only count the CHC and CHD in the calculation for the damage? I mean you didn't add the 90% weapon damage buff is there a reason for that? You can see that with the CHC and CHD buff it almost doubles the damage which is getting really mad, I don't think there is another AR with such a powerful buff like this. See you soon ✌ Peace. 👍
That's true , the Eagle Bearer is not the only strong Exotic AR. I did include the 90% damage in my calculation my friend, you might have missed it so check on 8:58 and pause the video when I make the comparison between the before and after all the buffs from the talent. I been working on my excel sheet to make it more "understandable" if you noticed it's been changing since the first time I showed it on my videos. It's just something I like to work on for fun and information of my builds idea. Also, for the people that don't believe on my numbers THIS GAME IT'S LITERALLY MATH... I looked at "All weapon damage" because I thought the 90% was added to it as well but apparently not. Concerning the Excel sheet yes I had noticed that you had improved it since the first time you used it. I completely agree with you, this game is all about math and theorycraft. I'm not as good as you to make me an Excel spreadsheet like yours and it's a mistake because for the construction of builds it is essential. I would like to be able to do this to check the viability of my builds. It's normal for the support, you do a really clean job which is rare on The Division 2 because others don't do the math like you and it's essential to prove the effectiveness of the builds.
@@Mangafan_TV yes very simple. Chameleon Base damage * (All weapon damage + adittive Weapon talent) 39,960*(1+(110/100)+(90/100)) = 119,880 There you go that's the basic formula to calculate additive base weapon damage.

I run this with a named backpack and chest that headshots blind and body shots cause bleed, and causing status effects spreads to enemies within ten m, but I don’t have any exotic that isn’t a gun.
Thanks bro 😆 Good question, and funny enough the Lady Death has a similar point of view as the Chameleon, they both can be weak compare to other of the same type but when their talent activate they are on the top highest DPS of their respective type of weapon. I just got the chameleon recently and when I got the 90 chest talent to perk, I found it strong. I just wish it didn't have to go through one reload before it happens though. For me though, I don't have a striker build so the chameleon just felt weaker in comparison for a short fight. Any ideas why they would make an AR be more like a SMG? Were they trying to nerf it from being too over powered for the game?
Just slap wep handling on some gear pieces guys, wep litteraly gives you free stats and build space, you can slot elite reduction mods, wep handling x2 at least, add some blue pieces, its fine. If you kill sh to fast you cant build chamile stacks anyways. Ch also gives you 45% crit chance at full stacks +10% crit chance from your watch. You litteraly only need 5%-10% crit chance and coyote alone gives you like 15% if you decide to use it.

Thanks! Yes the Vector it's a good choice because you want to have high rpm weapons on striker builds to be able to build up those stacks fast. Other option, the MPX, Banshee, and MP7
And you are right, as I mentioned in the video the gun it's not accurate compared to other ARs and has very short range, BUT with the full buffs we can not lie it does have one of the highest DPS at close range no doubt

Really? With a RTX 3080ti you should be able to run your game just like mine if not better. I have just a 3080. I either play 1440p or 4k. At 1440p I max out absolutely everything, with frames cap at 120. At 4k I lower dawn volumetric fog (this setting is havy in Ubi games), anti-aliasing lower, frames cap at 60. Now with any of those choice I always have DX12 Off, reduced latency Off, vsync Off Hopefully this helps.
Yes it does increase more damage. You can use whatever you want. I have used it in many different builds. I tried to modify my builds around. Also the way I have this setup you can get damage more quickly. 👍🏽

I have got some hard wired & negotiator builds, but I can tell it's really low level, since i got shredded in seconds in a raid. How do I get to level 40, and how do I farm exotics? Do the WONY, then farm whatever gear you want in Summit. It’s really that easy. You can actually choose brands, weapon types and mods and such in Summit.
True! But also when you get the full buff and if you are able to keep it going on a mission than there is no AR like it at close range. Either way there is pros and cons as I mention in this video and it depends on the player if they want this weapon or not.
I have this exact build and you/I will never see 20 mil crits...thats only on paper, reality is 5-6 million with full stacks of striker...I have tested it several times.
Thank you very much. I have been saying how overhyped that weapon was from the start. The talent to the accuracy is just not there. I guarantee you that most people have used it have switched to St. Elmo's engine. Myself carbide 7 and the vector 45 ACP are my choices. Also love them. People say well do weapon handling are accuracy or whatever you're taking away from your striking power by doing that there's no reason to.

I have 23.5% crit chance in the gun itself + crit chance on the mask and chest + chrit chance mod + keener's watch passed 1000shd gives crit chance also
Always use Fox's on close range builds. Period. It is best in slot as rushed enemies will always be out of cover. There is no reason you should have a green in its place.
Easily one of the best weapons in the entire game. Don't listen to the people who say it's crap, they just can't get the buffs up and running. Combined with striker, it offers one of the best DPS builds in the entire game.
Rubbish. The Chameleon is a glorified SMG. Not useable in long range at all and decent at best in the mid range. There are other AR's in the game that are more efficient from both close to long ranges. If your targets are on the other side of the map, best of luck trying to maintain your striker stacks.

My biggest gripe with the Chameleon is how long it takes to proc its talents. When they're active, it's beastly, but when they're not, the gun is butt cheeks. :/
Well you are lucky because this Exotic AR it's one of the easiest one to drop... It can drop basically anywhere that has target loot Assault Rifle. Or go on the countdown game mode and set the target loot to AR and just farm it

I like the Chameleon conceptually, but I can't stand the model. There is no Vector chasis for any rifle caliber; the recoil generated by a rifle round is just too much for the recoil mitigation assembly of the Vector to handle. Goobisoft also added a similar weapon to R6 Siege with the Lion operator, a .308 Vector, which is equally ridiculous. This concept would've been better executed on an M4 or FAMAS platform, or AK/FAL if they wanted to make it a 7.62mm
