Absolutely love these cars. I sold my S2 avant last year and I regret it massively. Mine was only running a homefries set of chips for 285bhp and it was fast enough for me, that thing must pull like crazy.

I never really got behind this model, i was a die hard coupe Quattro fan so when they brought it back briefly in 1989/90 with the same 20valve turbo 2.2 engine as this S2 i was back in love ! I did my apprenticeship at a VW Audi dealership in the mid to late 80s, had loads of fun driving all the different model Quattros, i was a massive fan of the 1.8 Audi 80 sport Quattro from the mid 80s & also the gigantic 200 QT. When they changed the 80 and 90 to this shape i fell out of love with them a bit.

Bloody lovely car.....and so true on the rare front, I genuinely can’t think of the last time I saw one! The diff button and associated transfer are a treat to see. Love the interiors of this era car (although the seatbelt mechanism could do with some attention 😉😂🤣) I’ve had a few corrado g60’s that look and feel very similar both inside and out...solid cars with very unique build qualities 👌🏻....and 460bhp!!!🤯 Lastly big respect to keeping it looking so OEM despite some fairly major works being carried out....a lovely build sir 🙋🏼‍♂️, I can see why the values shooting up

This vid has made me fancy one of these. I was always an S1 man but this is a nice car. Tastefully modded, nice colour and the shape looks good. Some 90s cars look pretty dated in comparison.

Sorry but The oil temp gauge in the centre console displays the engine oil temp and is nothing to do with the gearbox. How do I know? I too own a 92’ S2-3b and a 1984 UR quattro and built and restored dozens of I-5 cars for a reputable Audi specialist for a number of years.

Love these there so rare now remember there was one with Porsche wheels near me in the mid 2000’s it got wrap up though

Sold my S2 ABY coupe about 10 years ago for £3700 after giving 5 grand for it. Seen it for sale recently for £14k 😭. Great understated motors, mine was 280 with the ecu chip but pulled very well and had one of the best soundtracks of anything I've driven. Mine had the carbon fibre (look?) dash and doorcard trim which must have been futuristic in 1994. Anyone who was in it was very surprised at how well it went for what it was. Handled better than it should have too with a firm ride.

Porsche had a hand in building these S2,s and those brembo brakes are a standard fit from factory, the estate model is worth a lot more money though.
