For anyone who's working on doing a handstand (I'm currently working on it and making great progress) but this is a warning/lesson for those who may need a reminder: If you're fatigued don't continue and if you aren't strong enough for certain progressions WORK UP TO THEM. You will severely hinder your progress if you do so and injure yourself (like I did). It's OKAY you can't do a progression yet, be consistent with lower ones and work up (wall handstand holds, pike push ups, pseudo planche, frog stance, etc). Do not rush yourself and be patient with where you are.

@yungthug2403
@yungthug2403 4 года назад
do it against the wall the way he said was the scariest, that's the easiest way, chest to wall, you don't fall if you keep pressing with your fingers and just learn to open your shoulder for about 30 seconds in that position and then start to lean your shoulders above your wrists and play with your palms and fingers if you feel like your falling let go with 1 hand and turn, you will automatically fall from the side instead of backwards, let go with your left hand, fall to the left, let go with right hand, fall to the right. but i also recommend doing HSPU against the wall, i'd say it's best to learn how to get up into a handstand by pressing into it, do shoulder mobility exercises, core exercises like hollow body hold, when you do HSPU aginst the wall always squeeze your core and butt, and legs, this is howi learned how to do it and it all depends if you doing other training, or purely just want handstand, if it's just handstand, i recommend greasing the groove tactic, where you do 50% of your total effort in about 5-10 minutes and 4 times a day, and then 1 day with rest before and after do a complete workout to failure from handstand holds and pressing, do this and you'll have the handstand in about 3 months without fail from pressing up into it ((if you can do 30-40 press ups from the start like i did)) I was also doing front lever training at the same time, still am. so i do get some lower back strength from that also. but the absolute most important thign, is getting them handstand wall press ups without breaking your form and holding open shoulder for 30 seconds, if you can't do that, don't even try without the wall.

The handstand for me was easy to learn coz I used to train really hard that my body was really light comparing to my strength. it only took less than a week to hold it for like 17 seconds
