I about died getting stuck during birth. Then, I almost died from septicemia at age 7 from a cat bite. It's amazing what the human body can endure, honestly. I'm glad they were able to help you and you're doing well now.

I have a disabled Tortoise. He has only 1 nostril, the other is completely missing. Due to that (atleast we suspect it) he has a permanently open mouth deformity. Probably nature's answer so he can breath better. He is now 16, sadly has kidney issues so he isn't allowed to hibernate. But he is a fighter and so very smart! He actually knows his name. He loves people and always runs up to everyone for scratches and cuddles. I love him.

I'm still a minor, but I can relate to #5. I was born 2 month's earlier than I was supposed to, and I only weighed 4 pounds. I had to stay in the hospital much longer. My mom would visit me every day, but I almost never met my dad until I was 5 or 6 because he never visited me, and wasn't even in the hospital with me and my mom when I was born. I could've died, and only a couple minutes old too! But the docters kept helping me, and my mom stayed with me the whole time, and now I'm alive and growing. I'm a little on the short side though 😅

I call him Miracle. What a tiny gift. Glad he is with you. They truly need our assistance. I have a cat with cretinism otherwise Down Syndrome. People thought that I should euthanize him. I said, no. He is so cute with his wonky ears and flat affect…..( blank stare). Another kitten showed up in my garage. I kept him too. He turned out to be perfect companion to help the disabled kitten. I keep their world small & quite. They are turning 6 yrs old soon. Cats with Cretinism usually live to 5 yrs. He has good care, sees a vet and has his companion. However long he lives…….we will provide the best we can for him.

They don’t because it is a natural part of life. It keeps most animals pristine and perfect. Think about when we were hunter gathering. Every animal in the world today does that. You don’t have time to care about someone who can’t carry their own weight We could go back to those day too with one bomb. Pretty scary stuff

As long as the deformed animals don't breed, it's great. Spreading genetic mutations like that causes so much more pain for more animals rather than letting one pass away.

I love how that hard birthing and being the youngest and smallest out of his siblings didn’t stop him! #5 is the most independable out of all of them and just keeps on trying! #5 isn’t just a turtle he’s also a blessing.❤

My mom decided to put a frog pond with everything a frog would need to survive in her garden. Eventually frogs moved in. One in the pond was eventually born with one eye. In the wild it wouldn't have easily survived but my mom gave it a chance to live. My mom doesn't do anything other than carefully pull leaves out of the pond when it's needed. She does go and check on the one eyed frog everyday or at least almost everyday to make sure the frog is doing well. Sometimes all it takes is one small thing to help.
