I was so thrilled when I got 2 smaller than fly poop specks last year!! Gold is gold!! Couldn't get out this past Summer. Another Hydro Dam being built upstream in British Columbia and water levels were extremely high. on the Peace River. Thanks for your knowledge!! I'll keep on looking too!! Love the painting, with the brush!! Cheers!!
Hello friend, what time is it in Australia, here in Caracas - Venezuela, it's 3:50 a.m., sometimes when I can't sleep I start to watch the gold prospecting videos of the channels in which I am subscribed Vo-Gus Prospecting It is one of them.
It's interesting, during cleanup, how you see the blondes wash up and out while some white sands stay behind down almost below the black sands. Wonder what mineral that is. Could be Cassiterite as it can be almost white, and is close to but not quite the density of magnetite. Could also be Anglesite which is almost always crystaline white.
Just started watching but had to comment...it's so strange seeing a pan get washed down to the end and NOT filled with black sand. Hope you get a boatload outta there Chris, guess i'll find out in 16 minutes 👍
Hi Chris & Zoe. Video quality is better and better, camera, cut, sound... feels like being there with you... I relized, that highbanks are often better than what is in the current stream. At least now in the colder times (we have now). 30 micro specs in hour, not like you in 2 shovels, but feels good anyhow... :-)
Not sure if it's legal in oz, but have you ever thought about using a drill auger for loosening the dirt/gravel it should be quicker than a pick and probably lighter to carry in as well.
I’m guessing .28 close and yes there’s nothing that satisfies like getting your own gold and knowing your the first person to ever see.very cool you got a garnet and especially the Sapphire I’m subbed to an Austrailan sapphire mining channel Tim is a great guy like you . Great vid thx for sharing see you on the next one👍🏻👊🏻
Love your vids Chris. Wondering what ever happened with the hard Rock ore you found. Did you go back and crush it after all? I just look at Placer gold as an indicator to find the vein. Work your way up stream, keeping good records till gold dissappear, then try to home in on vein. Working on a small light 2 stroke jaw crusher to go along with the light chain mill I make for on site processing. It's so hard to get out there for most of us, and costly when added up. Can't help but apply my cnc mfg eq I have for gold eq. Mfg. The gold bug is real. Started with a pan and classifier about a year ago, and you are right, it does boil down to I love splashing around in a river, getting filthy, playing river loto as one of my greater joys in life.
Completely agree with your gold prospecting ethos, it's for the love of finding the stuff. I feel the same about finding even the smallest amount of the stuff here in the UK. Keep up the good work, and the great videos!
I'm in Bristol kieron. You're always welcome to meet up for a dig. I got the Garrett Ace 250 and Garrett panning equipment. I see partners not rivals 👍🏻
@@weekendwarriorprospecting817 You have to expect some replies like mine when you put up these videos. And what the hell is a melt ? Im from America dude, we never heard that adjective around here.
Hey Chris, I gots to ask you a legitimate question please...why ain't my name got a members star here???!! & I've seen LAYRRS of black sand & know there's gold in between the blond sand & those BUTT, there ain't enuf water in NW AZ for creeks even when we get rain & snow so I don't wanna bring each layer home, I'm thinking in This area I should just keep up my nugget & vein searches? Your advice please
Me Upon seeing you dump out the top of the Sluice = 😱NOOOOOOO! That was from the bottom of the hole where most of the gold will be coming from! Why didn't you tip it in a pan! 😱
Because we'll just go back with the high banker and get heaps more. It's not worth it. There was only like 2 pans worth of dirt, maybe 60 bits of flour gold.
I enjoy your videos very much. I will soon be 81 and have had anxiety/panic and depression most of my life and just wanted to encourage you in your efforts. Keep up the good work, your posts make my day. Thanks!
@@VoGusProspecting If you remove all the still water at your place, there will be a heck of alot less mosquitoes around your place. Anyway what even are we talking about :P
Exactly for the fun of finding .. Cuz yea never know what you will find unless yea dig it up awesome adventure cant wait for the next n awesome camera angles keep up the amazing work much love n stay golden
What u said about hard packed ground and being there for a long time, is that an indication that it hasn’t been disrupted by others, therefore being a possibility of a good yield if you’re patient enough to get thru it?
Hi I'm Rhonda L. From Florida I'm new to your channel love watching you, I see something had happened to beautiful fur baby, Grizzly. I was in love with him. May I ask what happened to him ? I Also Curious what caused your PTSD..I ALSO HAVE IT.
I'm watching from Canada after my Alberta season is snowed in for the year. Good to see you out there digging. I'm catching only about 80% of the ultra fine flour I'm finding over here with Dream mats, but at least my little sluice fits on the back of a Seadoo that lets me get around the rivers. I did a month in Australia a couple years ago and loved it! If the world ever changes gears from COVID and you wind up in Canada, check out my channel and I'll be happy to take you out to a local spot!
Chris It would be something to think. About rigging up a detatchable header So you can turn your HighBanker into a small dredge in times like that when water starts flowing while digging . At the suction end or vaccume end . Use two 1/8" bolts and make an x at the opening .this way less of a chance of plug ups .. and alot more Gold in the process , if the gold is there .
I'm surprised that since Australia took guns away from the population that they still sell play guns for children. That's a fair amount of gold for a short run.
@@VoGusProspecting if you ever make it to NW Montana I’ll take you panning, fishing, and flaunting to your hearts content. Plus I’m sure my pooch would love an Aussie scratch behind the ears.
Hey Chris, if that is Phragmites Austrailis (Common Reed) you are walking through after getting your test pan, just wanted you to know it is great bush tucker. You can pan for gold and rustle up some grub in one fell swoop (and quite possibly impress the missus while you are at it.). According to www.ediblewildfood.com: "Roots contain up to 5% sugar and according to Edible Oz, can be eaten raw or cooked like potatoes. The flavour and texture are best when the root is young and in the growth cycle. It can be dried, ground coarsely and used as a porridge. Young shoots can be consumed raw, pickled, or cooked. They are best if used before the leaves form, when they are at their peak for taste. Shoots can be used like bamboo shoots. Dried stems were made into a marshmallow-like confection by North American First Nations. A sugary gum that exudes from the stem can be rolled into balls and eaten as a sweet. It has a somewhat sweet liquorice-like taste. A powder extracted from the dried stems can be moistened and roasted like marshmallow. In Japan, the young leaves are dried, ground, and mixed with cereal flour to make dumplings."
You said you didn’t have a cleanup sluice but you have the gold hog multi sluice sitting right behind you. With the cleanup matt it’s a clean up sluice
Hi Chris. Did u twist the wires together if u did it wont run. The two wires that go to the switch they are not connected when you flick the switch they connect and kill the spark to the spark plug witch kills the engine. Any rocker switch will work 👍
Yes we have big gold. But we have a lot more fine gold than big . If I went looking for the big stuff I could put 50 hours in with nothing to show for it. If I put 50 hours into sluicing I'd have a few ounces.
Hey oldy moldy great vid as usual not much gold here in New York unless I go maybe 6 hrs north towards Buffalo ny I would love to be panning every day 😀
Thanks for sharing your adventures going out to get the shiny Chris, I am crook and haven't been able to leave home for a very long time. It's been forever since I have been out bush for a scratch etc, which is bloody hard going since I grew up on the Murrumbidgee (well mostly in the river lol). Your videos put a smile on my face and remind me what I have to look forward to, especially with all the knowledge you have shared, so thanks again mate.
that blew my guess out of the pan,! a .04 is what i was guessing.CHRIS, every time i give my dogs a scratch behind the ears it costs me 2 cookies! they were watching your videos in hopes of more cookies and asking to go and visit you cause you have no snow on the ground! and it looks warmer! we have about 2 inches that we got overnight.
The pump breaking down is unfortunate but at least you got some gold . Love all the different camaraderie angles . Good luck and may your pan always be full of gold.
Awesome as always have been focusing on my new ford ranger wildtrak to set up getting into some spots that the santa fe was not designed for. preparing for a summer outing to turon and surrounds will try and post some pics and a video.
