Let their developers design a sidestand bracket that actually works and doesn't break every few weeks, but more importantly a working dashboard. Don't get me wrong, i really love this bike, but the dashboard is just bad. Looses connection al the time, malfunctions etc etc. Heard this from a lot of riders. I love the setup, i love the interface, but just attach it wired to the bike and ditch the phone thing that's just too low quality to pass for an actual smartphone. However would the merch/clothings be as affordable as many of their stuff i would be buying i guess. Great way to add revenue to a bike that barely needs replacement parts. Contrary to most riders i don't mind manufacturers actually making profit.
@@Erwin-P The dash works fine for me lol, if the bike has been sitting for a couple of days it can disconnect from the bike sometimes but overall it works solid? Heard the kickstands suck, i went for a Varg without a kickstand. I just want my merch.. Oh and a proper oil plug! Changed oil today. Had to remove the engine cover to drain out the old oil. The drain plug is crap and is now rounded so wont get that out.
Just run for it. I live at the heart of Stark Varg, Sweden. I ride my Varg everywhere, I've met police cars and they haven't even bothered. If they do i'll just run. Good luck catching a 80hp dirt bike. I don't feel the need to run it street legal.
@@fredm4197 haha okay bud, stick with your 20+ year old bike or the few manufactures who put out the same bike every year. Ill go with something that would blow the doors of anybike u own
I suggest to go ride one before complaining about weight. I own this bike next to my Beta 250 2 stroke. Had i not read the specsheet i would have sworn it was 10kg lighter than my 250 2 stroke. Compared to the KTM EXC500 it feels about 20kg lighter. Little rotating parts, center of gravity low and most importantly not having fuel slapping around at the top of the bike makes a huge difference. Also price come down, always good i suppose. But they are the same price class to a KTM 450 (the 60hp even slightly cheaper while being more powerfull). Add in suspension is ordered to your weight/likings (a €500 rebuild for any other brand), way less maintenance and actual 2 years warranty i think apart from the ''high'' new price it is actually cheap compared to a new 450.
Why would stark choose red? There’s already Honda, gas gas and now Ducati. Pick a unique color like an electric blue or fluorescent green… red is tired.
@@codygoodwin1097 I literally don’t know much about stark. So you could have literally just informed me of that. But my point still stands, why chose red (if there’s 3 different colors) for these big races? Stand out. Not blend in. It’s just my opinion.
@@jimbo4203 its being drawn up as ama e bike classes, small bikes are already having issues with ebike vs gas bikes. once honda and the other brands get finished with research their will be a shift in 5 years
@@ryancuda45 they have been racing ebikes at Loretta's for the last few years at the amateur nationals, I always go and the races are just as exciting , just quiet
Title should be "This Bike just Won a Championship thanks to Jack Brunell" The industry more often than not overlooks the riders at the end of the day.
I've watched plenty of E bike races and they are just as exciting if not more enjoyable because you don't have to have your kids in earmuffs for 4 hours. Besides FMF makes a $50 mod for people that are so wrapped around the axle about noise LOL
I rode a Stark Varg last week at an MX track and agree 100%. It was definitely fast and felt very light (even though it's 20 lbs heavier than a 450), but it's not as satisfying to ride as a gas powered bike. The fastest map (map 5) is shockingly fast, but it feels like you're riding an appliance instead of a finely tuned machine. The AMA is smart to keep ebikes as a separate race class the same way that F1 does it. I think ebikes are ideal when noise is an issue, but for me gas powered bikes are more enjoyable to ride.
just have to be under 450cc. 0cc is under 450cc. And don't forget that 450cc is just a made up number to keep them from beating 2 strokes. And in the end, 450cc 4T became the standard.
Well, if you don't support electric bikes you truly don't support the growth of the sport. Doesn't mean you have to buy one. It's not taking over ICE bikes it's simply a huge growth area brought on my consumer demand.
You could tow it to the track with your Rivian as long as its no more than an hour away, there's a charging station there and it's downhill there and back. You could rent a proper truck to tow your camper I suppose.
Needs its own class. They don’t race f1 cars with formula E. Not fair comparison knowing you got 80hp all the time against bikes you do a ton more on. Yet has gotten less and less over the years unless your told to be ona certain map.
