I was surprised how fuel effective this old Yamaha XTZ 750 Super Ténéré is! Maybe it's just my bike but I read so many complaining how thirsty these old bikes are. Well mine isn't anyway.

Old and worn out. Sounds like how I feel lol. Yes, those plugs did have the perfect colour. Wow, that bike is really frugal on fuel👍. Yep, a lot of similar bikes are usually top heavy lol. Ride safe bro.

I am waiting for new Michelin road 6's but with all container delivery issues to Australia, there is a six week wait. Nice to see a older bike being used and appreciated.

Wow thats a bummer. Normally it takes 4-5 days if I buy from Germany but this time it's been delayed for some reason. Cheers bro 👍

Nice to see you out riding. I had the Heidenau Scouts on my VStrom. Excellent tires. The sidewalls were so stiff I had a flat and rode 250 miles and didn't know it😂

Thanks 👍 I was thinking of getting the Michelin Anakee Wild again like I had on my previous Tenere, but that would be overkill for me nowadays 🤕 Nice to hear you have good experience with Heidenau Scouts 👍

Good to see you out on the Super Ten mate. winter is gone, thankfully. My plugs are a nightmare to get at also, have to remove the tank and all ecu's. I've only had them changed when the valve clearances needed checking as they have to remove all that stuff to get to the cylinder head. What's your fuel economy in m.p.g.? I get 80 plus m.p.g. no problem and over 300 miles to a tank. 👍

I am a complete noob when it comes to m.p.g. and miles. We use the metric system but here is what the tech data from 1993 says: Fuel consumption 6.0 litres/100 km (16.7 km/l or 39.20 mpg). So when my bike consume 0.55/10km = 5.5 liter/100 km it runs really cheap. Cheers mate 👍
