It's bandied about that the only processor for Fuji files is Capture One, which can properly handle the non-Bayer sensor array of Fuji RAFs. What is your opinion?
This is a super video. Thanks Kevin. We need more of these. It really helps and gives me a completely new perspective on some of my edits! Thanks again!
Kevin, How do get good sharpening in Lightroom? For that alone, I went with Capture One. Five years in with Capture One, I’m thinking about DXO Photolab. You might coax me back into Lightroom with a good sharpening tip. Congratulations on your black belt! Have you ever tried the natural live view setting in fujifilm bodies? Supposedly, the tone curve is softer (softer shadows and highlights) even in the raw. Just curious. Great to hear your voice. Continued success in life and work, sir!
Honestly, I do no sharpening. Most people tend to over-sharpen in Lightroom. I do export sharpening in the output dialog box. Natural Live View shouldn't affect RAW files as it's effectively just a way of not showing the film simulation (or at least the adjustments to it). To my knowledge, that setting has no affect on RAW files.
@@kevin_mullins Oh, ok. Well, I thought the same thing regarding the natural live view, but at one point I saw a RU-vid video regarding this and it was apparent that there was more latitude using natural live view even when using a film sim after the fact with a raw file. I never tested it but I will do so when I have a little time.
