@@severanceflames2201 Ryu has inhumanly levels of tolerance for hard levels but you can tell this one got to him a bit.

@@severanceflames2201 u didnt think it was bad bc the video is edited to look nice but ryu had to play that level and the same parts over and over and over again w/o knowing what to do and i bet that got old real quick

He explained in one of the comments that he didn’t know the second check point didnt work. And when he have to clear from check point, he thought that this is how clear check point work

@@phosphorus4 how many times do you get a professional youtuber to give you feedback on a level? I would call that rare.

Damn I'd be pumped if Ryu played one of my levels for 40 minutes and then said it was shit hot garbage.

I thought the mechanics were quite creative.

When you try to ask or get feedback from people many times you will not have all the information you need to understand what went wrong, where you can or need to improve. If you ask for a friend "hey test this level and give me your feedback" they will not be completely honest because they most likely don't want to be harsh with you. It is also difficult to have feedback from your specific target audience. Having someone that is really experienced in your target demographic, that is able to give feedback to you being completely honest about how he or she really felt, and being some random person on internet able to give you feedback without attacking you as a person, that to me is rare. And Ryu gave his genuine thoughts on the level (at least it looked to me that it was genuine) I also believe that it was a great level that only needed some more polishing, and to acquire experience you need to practice practice practice. So again, don't give up, you have potential and can grow even better.

I never actually thought there was an error lol. It was my first level and I was unaware of that mechanic. Turns out I was horribly wrong lol

@@sd-ex9je I just thought that the clear check worked differently. I thought that it reset all the items in the level between checks

@@BeppyMilk i'm confused by your explanation. so when you cleared from 2nd checkpoint for clear check, you would have seen that 2nd checkpoint offered no benefit right? are you saying that you thought when actual players went through it they'd be given a key at that checkpoint or something?

@@BeppyMilk You're lucky, your first level gets played by Ryu, now you know what to improve for the next ones! Did Ryu played the bomb the way you intended, or was it delicious cheese ?

Poor checkpoint placement on an otherwise alright level.

I couldn’t put the checkpoint there because they only allow 1 checkpoint per world/subworld. I SWEAR I DIDNT KNOW :( I feel so bad lol

Nah, that level was absolutely atrocious for all the reasons Ryu mentioned. You don't have to be positive and nice at every single second when you're served a shit sandwhich. I think he articulated exactly what his problems were with the level perfectly. Then you feel like you have to come in and sugar coat it so someone doesn't get their feelings hurt?

@@Nunya644 your statement is a bit extreme for someone simply sharing their own opinion of the level. I believe we can all agree it was fun to watch.

@@Nunya644 Seriously. If creators gave up because their first level wasn't good, we wouldn't have any good creators today. Ryu's critique was rough, but that kind of feedback is valuable, and I would say that Ryu was being nice about it.

​@@Nunya644 Like the man himself said he probably didn't have any ill intent, but he made it challenging in all the wrong ways. Because someone didn't mean to hurt you but did in a way doesn't mean you should hurt them back. Best you can do is give some constructive criticism and don't be an ass about it. An eye for an eye makes the whole world blind, don't ever forget that.

@@unhappimess fun for u to watch is a diff story than if its a good level or not. its always fun to watch ryu play no matter how bad the level is bc he makes it fun. if this was a live video it would be boring to watch the same section for 40 mins bc of bad design

The creator is somewhere here in the comments. He had a wrong understanding of the checkpoints, and didn't realize the mistake even during clear check. Only now did he get it.

I actually thought that it would be a speed run method. I didn’t know that it wouldn’t work lol and I wanted people to be able to skip the red coin section if they wanted to :) unfortunately, I was unaware of this issue :(

@@BeppyMilk Ah, I see. Having an extra key door is always confusing; it’s better if you can find some way to arrange stuff that people can more easily guess what door does what. Or, if there’s enough space, you can even write something in the level using course parts if you have to!
