lmao fr, i only recently defeated inner owl

Daddy is easier than great shinobi, he has less posture recovery and throws attacks like thrust and swipes so you can do posture damage (I spent 30 tries on owl but only 2 on father owl)

Yup, there's two versions that are harder. I think the first fight is harder on charmless mode though.

I find owl father easier compared to great shinobi

Plus if you just run after him when he runs, he'll still do his leaping charge with you behind him and not hit anything, easy punishment.

normal guardian is a bit harder to parry due to his grabs, headless ape is definitely easier cuz it's basically a normal sword parrying

Nooooo is he actually really weak to thrust ? I just spent 2 hours trying to re-beat him at attack level 1 and I never found that out 😭😭

@@yannchaumat2751 the only time u can thrust is if he does the firework throw or if his back is turned otherwise he mikiri counters you same thing happens if you use the spear or shadowrush against him

the first one you just simply need to memorize his base attacks he will either do the 3/4 attack move where he attacks you twice then hits you with a heavy attack.... he might do a single follow up attack while doing this one that's why i said 3/4 also memorize the 4 attack move where he hits you twice then hits another 2 hit but faster when he jumps to attack you, i recommend using an upgraded umbrella cuz that does a shit ton of damage and posture to him plus it gives you more chances of not getting hit by it.... or if you want to do a risky one, then dodge to the side while he's in the air then use an ichimonji on his cuz it does reduce your posture build up second phase is mostly the same except the poison which isn't really that problematic.... oh and about the anti-healing orb thing, i recommend attack him once from his side or back then running away so that you wouldn't get hit with the annoying ass anti-healing thing

@@AmsyarBrosku On your first playthrough you don't have the upgraded umbrella. The antiheal hit isn't always free to abuse him when he does it.

@@Omeisel7 but to get it, he needed to eavesdrop on kuro, to then talk to emma, then meet her at the grave, then eavesdrop and confront at the temple to get Hirata 2 bell. I don't think he can get the kuro eavesdrop, and emma was supposed to be met in the grave shortly after Owl

​@@bruv399 father owl that's in the hirata estate.... he's debatably the 2nd/3rd hardest in the game rivaling demon of hatred and surpassed by isshin the glock saint

took me like 28 tries to beat him, so here's some tips on beating the bastard *the annoying appetizer:* you should use high monk on geni, in the start of the battle the moment he tries to use mortal draw make sure to use high monk to punish him *if you don't have high monk... then u can use ichimonji on him by moving behind him and use ichimonji when he does a mortal draw.... but be careful cuz he will do like 2 mortal draws on certain cases* *first phase of glock saint:* use ichimonji on him everytime he does his own ichimonji.... you can use "ichimonji double" if you have it, first dodge his version of ichimonji then you use your own to punish him *(the combat art is one of the best in the game as it does reduce your posture build up)* *second phase of glock saint:* you can still use ichimonji but make sure not to use a double ichimonji when he brings his spear out cuz he has less chances to get staggered by it in phase 2 and he will punish you for it *final phase of glock saint:* it's a bit easier cuz if you have made it here then you probably can memorize his normal attack paterns.... but now with him using lightning cuz if you do a lightning reversal it will punish him a shit ton he'll get staggered and gets damaged a lot make sure to wait a moment when he gets the lightning cuz the arena is very crap so sometimes you will probably fail on doing a reversal oh and when he does a conbat art that has an extreme range liek those wind attacks.... i highly recommend using the umbrella prosthetic cuz it's basically the only prosthetic you need in this fight if your close enough you can hit him with your umbrella prosthetic, that is if you have the skill unlocked *my last 2 tips* for you is to make sure to equip and use every type of good healing that you can get in the fight... and to make the fight easier, lure him to the bridge that's on the far left side of the arena cuz that would make it much easier to see his attacks and will have less chances of failing a lightning reversal now im on my ng+ 5 these days im beating him in less than 5 tries, he's moves are actually pretty pridictable when you get the hang on it

"No counterable attacks..." You mean those things that are clearly shown in the video? Thrusts and sweeps aren't the only moves you can punish. For any enemy. The firecracker swipe is a blatant opportunity to hit his back along with other breaks in his combos. This reads like someone who doesn't have a grasp on the rhythm of the fight.

@@TheTrueRandomGamer Still you have to be perfect to punish the non countered attacks. The best chance to hit him is when he jumps up and slams in the ground. I think they could have given him at least one ability you can counter by Mikiri.

@@NikosTsoup I agree 100%. I killed him just by waiting for him to slam down for a free hit. I hit him as well when he uses the antiheal orb but it is not safe to punish him then. The firecrackers is a bull shit move i always dodged back and not forward and his poison stays on the ground forever. Very bad boss, I love Isshin so much, they should have made it more like Isshin.
