Honestly, this is more joyful than sad. We miss those we love, but if they lived such a deep love of the Lord, and truly applied their faith as Old Man Wriggly did, it's all joy.
It is great how we all can share the experience of this event. We can all relate to a "Mr Wriggly" in our lives. It isn't just sadness, especially if you have a relationship with the Lord, but also love and hope that we share through this story. God bless. It makes me cry everytime😉💞
I remember when this song first came out, it had me tearing up. And yes it's a true story about Ronnie Dunn and the relationship he had with Mr wriggly. This song is so powerful and deep. It still gets to me today.
If a song can bring a smile to your face or a tear to your eyes, then the writer and singer have done their job to leave a lasting memory in your soul you will always remember. Great song and video.
No need to apologize Pearl, you're in good company here. I know people who can laugh through this song, and they are people I consider to be without a heart and soul. I always respected and much appreciate your emotional honesty. ❣️👼🌹
Beautiful song that truly makes you cry, Ronnie Dunn wrote this song about the old man he knew who he called Mr. Wrigley. Brooks and Dunn are outstanding singers, this was the most beautiful video about what he experienced personally.
This is a sad song, especially when we apply it to our own lives and lost loved ones. But recognizing and believing in "the words written in red," (the words of Jesus, which are written in red in many Bible translations, for those who may be unfamiliar), give us comfort and hope that our loved ones are happier than they have ever been and just waiting to be reunited with us on the other side. So emotional ... I ugy cry every time. So don't apologize for having feelings. lf you don't feel something when you hear this song and see this video, then you're not paying attention. ❤
This is the power of country music: it speaks truth from the heart, gut and experience and levels you! This will break you and put you back together in the best possible way.
No need to ever apologize ...this rips at your heart, it makes you feel raw and shows you have a beautiful heart. This was a song Ronnie Dunn wrote about his life story.
While it seems sad I like to think that he’s home now with his wife and baby and for that I’m happy for him. He believed and I believed in how much he believed. We’ve all lost someone close to us but they always live as long as you remember them. Brooks thought so much of him that he dedicated this song to his memory. That’s probably the most thoughtful gift I could think to do for someone who’s special to you.
you need to check out some of Brooks and Dunn's more light hearted songs, like Boot Scootin Boogie, or Brand New man. This is a very heartfelt song, and true story about the singer!
Bless you for your true and raw reaction. My favourite line in the song; if I ever knew someone who deserved a ticket to the other side... ❤️ Pure love they had, and a true belief in God. 😇😇😇
In 2020 my Momma passed from cancer. During our last few months together she requested this song (and only song she requested) to be played at her funeral. I had never heard it, and couldn't/didn't listen to it until the day she passed. I cried like a baby. I BELIEVE Momma. And I KNOW it doesn't all end with a ride in a hearse. Jesus Christ is The Way, The Truth and The Life...and the only way to the Father. I had a dream just a year or so before Mom got sick (or really we just didnt know yet 😔) that I was at her house at her feet crying and telling her I forgave her for the past, I repented for the things I did and said that did not honor her over the years and then I washed her feet. Then I woke up. That day I text her and told her what God laid on my heart. I said to her what I said in the dream and she said she said she loved me and she wished she could hear it every day. (I didnt mention washing her feet, she probably would have thought I was weird or something lol) Fast forward to 2020 and we found out she was sick. 3 months later she was paralyzed from the waist down (due to the cancer spreading). I took her in to take care of her. She didnt want that because she didnt want to put me through that, but I said no, you are my Momma and nobody will take care of you like someone who loves you. So she stayed. (Plus she cooked in a nursing home for over 20 years and knew how they treated patient's.) Anyway, it wasnt until one day I was giving her a sponge bath and got on the floor to wash her feet that I realized God restored our relationship and humbled me like never before... washing my mommas feet. She passed 2 days before my 40th birthday. One of the best moments was when I was helping her and she looked me in the eyes and said "Thank you for loving me so much". 😭💖 It wasn't always easy, she was "stubborn as a mule", as they say, but she was a fighter. Always was. All I could do was LOVE HER LIKE JESUS. So thats what I did. By the grace of God.
Beautiful and deeply moving song about a true story of Ronnie Dunns( the singer) childhood friend. My absolute fav Brooks n Dunn song!!! Feel it girl!!!
Please NEVER apologize for your reactions. I’m a grown man and the first time (and every time since) I hear this song, I break down. It’s beautiful, sad and something I think most people can relate to. I know it makes me think of loved ones I’ve lost. Peace
This was a wonderful reaction, my daughter! It's always good to see your reaction videos. You are looking good. Hope all is well with you. Here's to your next one! 🙏🙂❤️
IT is a true story written by the singer Ronnie Dunn , He was the boy in the story who loved the Old Man and Race was not a issue. I just wish everyone could FEEL And Be The Same Way. We Are All GOD'S Children 😇🙏😇

This strengthened my shaken faith during a time of loss,, no longer having my mMom's living faith here on earth. But she and the man in the video believed for real. I needed this badly ❤
Th song is not sad, its about believing in God and his word and knowing we can spend eternity with our loved ones when we accept Jesus Christ as your Savior. :) Please accept Him he loves you and died for you so you can spend eternity with Him. :)

'These lyrics...or story...I don't know if these are lyrics or a real story...' I took an anthropology class in college, and something my instructor said really stuck with me. He said a tribe he once lived with for a year in Africa passed along wisdom through stories to their youth. He said that they often started their stories off with, "I don't know if this story really happened this way, but I know that it's true." It helped me grow to realize that truth is separate from, and superior to fact. It does not have to be factual to be true. This song is 'true' in the purest sense. The story does not have to be factual for it to tap into a deeper truth about life. And you realized that, and felt it and reacted to it. This was an awesome reaction video. Please keep up the good work.
The man singing this song with the divinity school to become a preacher. They kicked him out when they found out he was singing in bars to pay for his college. I'm very devout Christian and I genuinely good guy.
In reality, nobody deserves a ticket to the other side, not even this sweet old man, that's why Jesus Christ paid the price for all of us when He died on the Cross, just Believe, receive and live forever..
