Bucklos are pretty decent forks for the price and will last when used for what they are intended, sadly however RU-vid is full of people full sending them down rough downhill tracks or massive jumps and then looking shocked when they fail and then trash talking them. As for the no oil well this is actually pretty common and many top brand company's do it heck even Suntour do not use oil and just use grease. One thing i would recommend with these forks is before you even use them is to strip them down clean and then properly grease them with some fork butter or similar fork grease and in some cases you can also install foam oil rings under the seals of the lowers and then add a little oil to the air chamber ( to lubricate the piston and prevent air leaks ), I did all that to my Bucklos and its super smooth and like new. As for air pressure , yeah do not go by the chart it is based on the rider siting down and on flat ground where most of the weight is on the rear, but if you are going down hill the weight shifts to the front and they pack, on mine I had to put quite a bit more than was recommended for my body weight

I'm convinced that one day, people worldwide will realize that a $30 tubing cutter is far superior to a stupid clamp that requires a bench vise and hacksaw for cutting steerer tubes.

These cheap Bucklos air forks are actually great by any measure. They feel just as good as forks that cost 4 times as much. Just don't freeride or DH ride on them. XC and everyday usage they are far better than what they should be. A real bargain. Bucklos makes some legitimate good products for a fraction of the price of big names.

I agree! I actually have the bucklos 120mm on my bike. I hit jumps and downhill trails and it does fine. I’m scared to hit anything huge with it but it may be fine?

I think you cut the steering tube flushed with the top of the stem, aren't you supposed to cut below like 2-3mm so the top cap is pressuring the headset system?...

Hey man, I just bought a used giant talon and it came with one of these forks. I’m new to setting up suspension, and am wondering if the ABS dial does the same thing as compression knobs on other more expensive forks? I’m trying out different air pressures and rebound adjustments, but am not sure if I should just keep the “ABS” switch fully open, or try closing it part way, which I think just means it will react slower? If you’ve got any advice after owning this fork, I’d be very grateful!!

Yeah the abs switch is just like a standard compression switch for locking out the fork. I would keep it open all the time

What's the difference between the Bucklos Lutu and the XM? I'm looking for a XC fork. Is the Lutu more for heavy duty riding or is it for cross country?

Havent tried the XM. The Lutu should only be used for light XC Riding. Past that I would recommend starting to look at the entry level rockshox forks.

Hey man is it normal to be able to just about bottom out the fork while standing over the bike stopped and pushing down full force even when the fork is at the proper psi?

Try adding alittle more PSI. The compression on this fork isnt great to begin with.

I have a Jamis Divide 29 from 2022 and it has almost the same specs than this bike here. Upgraded everything except the drivetrain, ghe wheels and the crankset. it is ok for my first MTB, did some stuff that wasn't supposed to be done with this bike (rims are not made for tubeless, so they "burp" everytime I land with a strange angle).

I chose a Rockshox Judy with 100mm travel and remote lock. they're pretty cheap if you find a used one.
