If they're running a service no matter what they charge, cleanliness should be a priority. The size of the room, the amenities are only a bonus but cleanliness isn't.

The only somewhat safe way to cope with beds like this is to bring a sleeping bag and sleep in it.

This takes me back. My stepmum used to own a guest house in Redcar when I was a teenager. I think it might even have been on that same steet. It was great because me and my sister would go have a night out on the high street then let ourselves in to sleep it off in one of the empty rooms. It was for the best that she sold it as she used to do cooked breakfasts and dinners so she never had any free time with all the cooking and cleaning.

It doesn't matter how much a room costs....basic cleanliness is imperative! Sorting the bed base isn't a big job. Adding mattress and pillow protectors not expensive. Clean bedding not hard to do. Adding a cheap kettle and an an assortment of tea and coffee isn't going to break the bank! And a thorough deep clean of both the bedroom and the bathroom - would only take a couple of hours. Add some clean towels to both the room and the bathroom. Job's a good un. But it's a shame the owner didn't see anything wrong! That attitude won't get them business. Oh well! Onto the next. 😊

I would have taken the Duvet down to him and said "What the bloody hell is this" then chucked it at him. Hate to think what was was UNDER the bed. You looked so smart, looked like you were off to a wedding. Looking forward to your next Video.

I used to live on that road and the homes are now mostly HMOs both Tudor Lodge and No.9 (other side of the road) have been equipped for recently released people. Constantly being raided and for those of us that had single family homes, we were run out by the high crime rate and number of break-in/ drug related crimes happening around the street. The homes were lovely but landlords saw more profit in converting to bedsits. So glad to get out of the street.

I hate to tell you mate, the marks on pillows are drool stains 😂 If you imagine hundreds of mouths hanging open at night, slobbering onto the pillows 🤤 Sweet dreams 😁 Another good video 👍

ALTHOUGH ON THE SMALL SIDE THE ROOM ITSELF DID NOT LOOK TOO BAD, BUT LIKE THE BATHROOM HAD HYGIENE ISSUES, BUT WE HAVE SEEN WORSE IN BLACKPOOL.

One thing to note I have never been in Redcar but always have wanted to go but some day I will. Glad and happy you left as I would have been depressed if I stayed there the night unless I was drunk then I would not care. Great video yet again, loving the content plus love the love the channel and keep up the fab work...

Oh dear, that wasn't good at all. Proper clean around the toilet would have improved the bathroom a bit. I reckon they just didn't care about things like that. If you had been brave enough to stay overnight I reckon you would have rolled out of that bed. Very smart by the way, your much too good and nice to be staying in these dirty rooms. Nah - you were correct in getting the hell out of there! Sorry but cleanliness is a basic requirement! And that shared bathroom, I mean YURRRRRRRLECH! Also the flipping bed was BROKEN and not fit to sleep in, which again is a BASIC REQUIREMENT, especially when it’s a HOTEL/B&B… I mean one of the B’s in that stands for BED!!!! I travel on my own quite often and that’s exactly why I always book for 2 people. I want a double bed and a room larger than a prison cell. A couple of bad experiences booking a single room and lesson learned!! In your defence, that definitely was a room for a dwarf 🤣 I’ve heard bad things about the OYO hotels so I steer clear of them. They’re never going to be luxury 😂And I’m not sharing a bathroom with anyone 🤢 I’m far too old for that crap and I expect at least a basic level of comfort and cleanliness. A haydle in a neestack 😂 Now I’m beginning to think you’re doing it deliberately. 😂

On initial first impression it didn't look as bad and depressing as the one in Blackpool, then 10-20 seconds later you start to notice it get suddenly worse!! A shared towel ain't all that bad...just depends on whom you are sharing the towel with :P Also, I said it in the last vid and the live one......start putting post it notes on everything bad!!.....it's not as if you have to worry about going back and bumping in to the owner again lol , so your hhalf way there by leaving everything dirty out! You might of ended up at our place when we first opened we were only charging £29 we were based near Saltburn-By-The Sea and it would of been handled alot better than this 😂 sadly that’s Redcar for you, can say thou there are plenty of nice places up this way so hopefully your be able to try them out.

My lounge does looks better than that pokey place though. And i actually clean it. You'd get seasick sleeping in that wonky bed. And id so be taking my toilet duck and bottle of Dettol staying there...and maybe a hoover! 😂

Well you did make me laugh, who even thinks of staying somewhere that costs what was it 26.00 pounds a night, that alone tells you all you need to know. I'm sure workmen who stay somewhere for a week would deal with it, but they would only sleep there if of course they could get in. /completely /barking /mad, but fun.
