The reason why you cant pickup orbs with full super is because you need something that requires orbs to activate it like armor charges or unraveling rounds. Its stupid but I would just run solar surge instead of scav.
Not just supers. Ability regen is influenced by orb pickup. So, you can use stuff like momentum transfer, impact induction, and other things to help regen, and use reaper for more orbs. Don't use firepower or heavy-handed nor the helmet mods for your grenade or melee.
THANK YOU for adding the bit about where to hit your super on the boss with Pyro. I've been wondering for a while (especially since you're supposed to be far away for Stasis, which is the closest super to this), but every video I watch has someone at a different distance.
I think the main problem is Pyrogale Gaunlets don’t really add much especially that is useful for anything outside of big DPS for your super which isn’t exactly something that is good or useful for GMs outside of Solar Hunter where you do it from range since most boss have health percentage add spawns. The mini cyclone from your melee does so little it seems like it might as well not even exist. It’s an exotic that says “use Consecration” but does almost nothing for Consecration. Also, I haven’t seen the most testing on this but most of the big damage seems to come from the ignition and not the melee/ability unless it does have an interaction like some things do (for example, crystals made by and destroyed with Verglas Curve count as weapon kills but shooting a crystal made by a grenade does not… which with how spaghetti this game’s code is at times the fact the game recognizes the difference seems unfathomable… for one example) but for unknown reasons others do not. I’m not positive but I’m pretty sure that’s how this works so unless there is weak red bars the melee/ability isn’t ever getting the kill. Again, I might be wrong about this part… or I was right at one time and they patched it so take this part with a grain of salt. I use the build I’ve just never broken it down enough to pay attention if it’s the big wave of the melee getting the melee kill or if the ignition is actually counting as a melee kill. Rounding it back… however… the build is more useful unfortunately using most other exotic/solar exotic pieces because of how little it does for Consecration itself. IF Sythoceps or Wormgod Caress work on the melee part, of which there is no reason to think they don’t, that adds much more damage on the melee part and even helps out your other melees. Hallowfire Heart, if you pocket your super which in general isn’t very good and is more of a panic button to use, gives you much superior regen on both abilities stacking with Sol Invictus. Phoenix Cradle even in solo play doubles your Sol Invictus timer and in team play gives your team the benefits of Sol Invictus. Path of the Burning Steps can easily get you to 4x Surge with this build without sacrificing your leg slots so you can use what ever you want for your build (Stacks on Stacks if you want to get and burn through armor charges quick… Scavengers for more heavy and special… a different surge… all regen orb pick ups.. etc…). Long story longer… they need to buff what the exotic does to Consecration so it feels like it’s doing something. Otherwise, outside of quick tanky target DPS you’re better off with the utility or damage all the other exotics give. Which is sad.
I want a titan exotic that makes your hammer throw cause an AOE explosion on impact scorching those hit, and grant super energy. This would make for an amazing solar titan exotic because it would make your hammer throws great for add clearing in addition to making it charge your super. This way titans can actually run a build that uses their super more often. It is everything bonk titan could want. Not to mention there are a bunch of different ways you could make it work. For example you could enhance the damage of hammer throw and make it explode regardless of making contact with the enemy, but make it not come back that way you have to worry about reducing the cooldown leading to high strength builds becoming more common.
Is stinks cause roaring flames really helps out the super with pyrogale but I love consecration way too much. And I miss my throwing hammer half the time. Plus the set up to get to roaring flamesx3 and keep it for boss dps is too much of a pain imo. Synthoceps with consecration and throwing hammers is another really good build. Both get buffed with synthos so, either way you can't go wrong. Those are my two builds. But I use dragons breath as my exotic and zailous bane as my primary
You don't need 100 strength when you use the fragment defeating scorched targets grants melee energy and a firesprite since your almost always radiant using throwing hammer and consecration, and using a solar weapon to scorch and kill targets. I have 100 res, 100 Disc, 91 recovery and 32 intellect and 32 strength but with that fragment it's like I have 100 strength. So, almost four 100's
Have always and still do love your videos, have you thought about making builds without using the artifacts, other than the champion guns? we do not know the new artifacsts to come so strong builds without the artifacts would be useful.
Yeah I’m gonna try and do a build a week until final shape so people have some good builds to go. Will focus on solar and strand first cuz they are relevant this season. But from march onwards you’ll see lots of other good builds that don’t need artifacts to be great 👍🏻
Its because the orb applies unraveling rounds to the weapon. Not the player self. If you are not running any surges any form of orb generation is useless after full super. thats why everyone is running at least 1 surge in their boots.
FINALLY someone else who noticed that you can’t pick up orbs when your super is full even if you have mods on for orb pickup. I know it’s shit but run emergency reinforcement on chest as a bypass for the issue in the “meantime”
I was about to say you cannot pickup orbs on solar because you need an armor charge perk, DO NOT LISTEN TO SURGES THEY ARE VERY BAD SCAVENGERS ARE BY FAR BETTER. Instead, on your class item since everything is kinda useless, use One-Two Finisher, it holds armor charges and when you finish an add on 3 stacks of armor charge it replenishes your whole melee use.
Hahaha you can survive anything, so roaring flames would work for you. But also, the melee regen from sol invictus is the main reason I run it. More melees> heavier hitting melees for me
I haven't tried it in solo GMs yet but I've personally been using solace instead of empyrean -- I keep running into the issue where the 12 second resto timer gets shortened by sunspots (such as doing the healing nade into consecration combo)
So if you do monte Carlo, indebted kindness, and cry mutiny the ignition from concentration will stun unstoppables, and your weapons will stun other cha.ps this season and it let's you be more forgiving with your abilities
Okay, something to note from my experiences personally with builds (including one similar to this): Yes, Sunshot is good, but when an ability is your main thing, why use it? Sunshot provides no regen. For a replacement example in this very build, use the Abyss Defiant with Pugilist, Incandescent. Your add clear is very good, comparable to Sunshot, AND frees up your exotic slot. I used this build to Solo Flawless Warlord’s Ruin. When I used Sunshot, I lacked damage and ability gains. When I used the Crota AR - or even the Kings Fall HC - they were equal replacements, if not better than Sunshot, in addition to giving energy back. With slots freed up, I used the new fusion/Supremacy, and Dragon’s Breath. It worked amazingly well. Edit: Forgot to mention this. With a strong enough Solar weapon, you don’t need Sunspots for Restoration. Roaring Flames boosts the damage so much, and not using Sunspots is very manageable, even in the hardest content. Though I wish I had Wellspring in order to also get Grenade energy gains in addition to Melee energy. Guess I got another weapon to find now! Also, Sunspots are bugged similar to Ember of Mercy. Stepping into one sets Restoration to 5 seconds, regardless of your timer amount. Mercy does this, but with its pitiful 1.5 seconds, which is more or less only half a second since the Solar keyword buffs expire at 1, not 0. If you are using sunspots as your main Restoration source, do not use Empyrean as this interaction can very well kill you. And as a default, never use Mercy. The deaths it will inevitably cause are not worth the .5sec Restoration. Seriously, old Heat Rises -> Phoenix Dive had a better window of opportunity to get a kill. and on another note, Monte is not the only thing for Melee regen in terms of guns, stop crutching it and wasting the exotic slot
DONT USE MELEE KICKSTART. It will barely ever proc on consecration from the scorched target melee emerges fragment, but it will delete all ur charges when u throw bonk hammer. just run surges tbh
Been running almost this exact same build for a while now and it's honestly replaced bonk for me, even if I'm not too keen on the pyrogale look 😅 Solar titan has been so consistently good for so long it's kind of crazy
Sucks because titan is easily the worst class in pve outside of banner. Banner is still busted but if that gets hit again then Titan is so cooked in pve. Arc is mediocre, void is outclassed by solar warlock, behemoth is just bad. Solar is ok but this build is niche and the old bonk build feels like ass to play. Really only leaves banner. I main warlock and always have, I suggest you guys all swap asap. Titan is a sinking ship
