I think Assault and Bulwark with their armor reinforcement perk have the easiest solo clears of Hive Tyrant in the game, classes like tactical have the potential to be much faster(Though I've personally yet to see substantially faster clears from any solo gameplay that's uploaded) but having endless armor against the hive tyrant basically guarantees success. If the hive tyrant is on your ass, what you really want are OP gunstrikes because you'll be constantly parrying/dodging and easy damage setups which both Bulwark and Assault have while also keeping you alive forever.
@@FirstTourGuardsman Agreed, but that also requires some skills - some reflex, some moves memorization, knowing how to parry in this game in the first place. With tactical auspex it's mostly stand safe in a little distance behind the column, use ability and shoot your gun.
@@Lyonatan Wow really, I was unaware the perk and build I chose to showcase was helping me while I was showcasing it that's news to me. Try to upload your own gameplay before thinking I'll care about your opinion on mine, especially when you type it out in such a condescending manner.
Great fight man. I wish fencing melee weapons weren't mandatory in this game but they are. Not being able to parry minoris for armor or using block weapons and not being able to do it at all is just a death sentence in this game. They need something else like absorbing hits as you charge or just let them all parry and differentiate some other way. You can kind of make block weapons work with assault/hammer but its still tricky and if you don't slam right you can be stuck in a bad situation.
@@Lyonatan Everyone's hyped about the new content but I just want to see all weapon variants viable, including other melee types and bolters. A big part of whats in the game just isn't being used because its just not as good or really handicaps you hard not having access to parries.
@@FirstTourGuardsmanYou don't run into the spore brigade on that last hall before you drop down for the final run to the drop pod before the tyrant? It just loves putting them right around that corner or under the ledge for me in somewhere between one out of five or so runs.
How are you doing the heavy stomp after two attacks? I feel like I'm missing so many mechanics in this game. Playing Bulwark on Solo is absolutely brutal right now, and encountering a Neurothrope has just straight up shut down three runs in a row for me on the third difficulty. All that said, the way you chainsword your way through large swathes of Xenos scum is exemplary, Brother.
trying to figure that one out also, as on the video there is the shoulder bash animation also after the 2 light attacks, but sometimes it is a stomp, i dont understand either, google has not answers either :D
@@dhaara1 in my experience, shoulder bash is two light attacks, followed by holding the attack button. Stomp is three light attacks, then hold the attack button. Front kick is one light attack, then hold the attack button. If you just hold the attack button in the start, you'll do a front punch, and if you hold block and then press attack, you do a shield bash. This one is SUPER helpful in higher difficulties once you get the shield bash perk that knocks enemies back further, since it instantly and reliably gives you a free gun strike on any Minoris enemy, meaning you have even more access to Armor On Demand.
i cant figure out how do You do a Stomp attack only after 2 light attacks, could You please assist ? I tried to imitate the combos You used right at the beginning but still it takes 3 light attacks not 2. Also i see that sometimes You used the shoulder bash what is the correct one after 2 attacks, what am i missing ? :D
Same here man. The parrying on bulwark is so wonky. Game registers taps as holding block and it gets my shit wrecked a little too often. No other class do I have that problem with.
Chain, only because it has a combo skip which lets you get to your stomp in 2 swings which is borderline OP. I can't stress enough just how good chainsword's horde clear with the skip is and how often it lets you get your stomp off where you would otherwise be interrupted to parry a majoris. Power sword is GOOD, I just think it's currently outclassed and lacks the damage of something like "Full throttle" on bosses or the insane horde clear of the stomp. The main thing power sword brings over chainsword is it's speed style running jab which is actually very useful. Setting up gunstrikes on minoris was a lot more important pre patch 3.0, but these days you get so much armor back from just spamming your combos and parrying minoris occasionally that the Power sword sending enemies into gunstrike constantly became significantly less useful. If you have no idea what I'm talking about when I say combo skip, ChrisG956 has an entire video on the combo skip with the chainsword and other weapon mechanics if they interest you.
I don't know much about power blade, but chainsword has amazing crowd control move enabled by animation skip and Full Throttle perk, resulting in getting your stomp just after two light attacks instead of three. With that technique and increased stomp area perk, chainsword's crowd control rivals that of a hammer while being faster and being able to stunt lock chaos marines with light attacks.
