HTML is a programming language. It uses HTML the markup language as its syntax and is turing-complete (according to the author). Thats why I show you how you can program your own Calculator, just with HTML, without using any additional technologies like Javascript (at least not directly) or any other programming language.
The calculator can perform basic functions like Addition, Substraction, Multiplication and Division and supports chaining of those operations.
You can find the github repository for the HTML Calculator right here:
github.com/buf...
Usually those calculators need other web technologies and programming languages to work but this proof of concept shows we can only deliver HTML to make fully interactive web applications after all. HTML The Programming language is made by Big Sky Software, the same company that also made HTMX. A highly controversial frontend javascript framework which uses HTML instead of JSON for Data transfer and HTML Attributes to support various functionalities like AJAX Requests. HTMX is the Anti-Javascript Framework. And HTML is somewhat of an Anti-Programming Language. The HTML Programming Language is Stack based, supports if conditions, variables and loops to make your life easier.
