LEGO is adult LEGO. I don’t think any child is affording LEGO at how much they cost now. I got the LEGO ideas Polaroid camera set and it was fucking $80. The LEGO Star Wars Tie Bomber set is also $80. Pretty much anything beyond a battle pack with a shitty vehicle and a couple mini figs will cost you almost $100.
Go out and hustle. Speak to businesses and offer your services. Make them understand the value that video and photo can bring to their business. You also probably should not spend $8k on something you haven’t made money off of yet.
Proof that photography/videography can make you SPEND insane amounts of money 😅 coming from a freelance photographer and video producer….. it’s a very expensive career path lol
Even with a cheapo monitor, cheapo battery, and cheapo matte box, your looking at like $600 for those three items. High end, the monitor alone will run you $600. The camera is another story. The camera it's like $3k, the lens is probably $2k.
Sony, as far as I know, is the best at recording videos, and this looks rather professional, but I just have a Nikon d3200, I cannot even focus video correctly, though I still LOVE it for shooting photos, it’s amazing for the age. Your setup is well made and looks premium and high quality, beautiful!
Nikon isn’t great for video, but I started with a cheap D3400. Lots of people are gonna tell you that your camera isn’t good because it’s Nikon or whatever, and the D3200 is certainly going to show its age, but just always remember it’s the photographer and not their equipment. Hope you enjoy your purchase :)
There are a couple of things I would like to try but I don’t think they are practical for my dayli usage, maybe someone could give me advices. I’m a motorsport videographer and I do 90% of my works in race track. Trackside, Pitlane and box. Battery are my first concern. I still carry 2/3 spare oem batteries and I use the original ones (a6700) to keep the camera lighter to attach it to my waist or shoulder when I need fast travel with the scooter. VMount battery is something I would try, but it would compromise the chance to install a light and compact quick realse under the camera for my belt. Mic I’ve tried multiple rode (70€, 130€ and 250€ model of a friend), after comparing clip and posted on RU-vid I’m sticking with a small rig 30€ shot gun for compactness. For sure it’s me not taking advantage of their capabilities, but for race car sound I’m still not able to make the most out of a high end mic, wish I knew more about. Anamorphic with fix focal length is something I will for sure try when shooting acting scene, but during I live event variable zoom is crucial, and also would mean another battery and weight. In the end the matte box, still can’t see the difference between videos shot with ore without and a VND + cpl is something I need to change constantly though out a 10 hours day shooting, changing panels would be to demanding in time. A6700 with top handel, small rig mic/dji mic, viltrox monitor (not always), 18/105f4, 35mm f1.4 and a 70/200f4 with a vnd+cpl is my actual rig

Coulda got a lot more features with an S5IIX. And you would get shutter angle and waveforms. The FX30 is a photo camera pretending to be a video camera because you have to record with shutter speed which is stupid on a camera this expensive marketed as a cinema camera.
all those companies (Sony Nikon Canon Fuji) made their cameras as small as possible so we can use them with more comfort for you to go add so much stuff on it and make it as big as they were before...bravo
@@Adrianwe44 the focus ring is meant for wireless follow focus. You could also put a manually follow focus on which is what I tend to do most of the time
Hi , You don't know me but i just found your email on online jobs and i had to get in touch with you. Hope you don't mind? I'm a huge fan of your content in RU-vid. I watched your video every day. And i also happen to be video editor. So I've been following the Facebook and Twitter page for a while and noticed that you rarely shares original content on these pages. I think you are missing out on a lot of opportunities to engaged with the community. I have a few ideas for creating a social media campaign that could 10x your engagement rate. Would you be interested in hearing more about its? Thanks
I love that this kind of shows off the internals of a 1piece cinema chassis. This camera is to large scale movie cameras what hot rods are to other cars.
The lesson to learn from this video is that; this is NOT my first camera or camera rig. I have been doing video/film and photography for almost a decade. I started out small with a basic camera and lens, I rented, got more gigs and more clients and built my way to a point that I had enough clients and gigs to require and justify such a large purchase. But also trust me that there are much more expensive camera setups out there. This one doesn’t even come close
I mean this genuinely. Why? This makes no sense. Why power the FF with an NPF when you have a v-mount? The v-mount blocks the screen and buttons. Your matte box doesn't connect to your rods and the lens doesn't have any mid-span support. Your left rod connects to nothing at all. There are no comfort grips and you still need two hands to hold it. You can't mount your FF controller anywhere practical on the camera itself (or are you left handed and hence the empty left rail?). The balance looks way off. I would seriously use a cage, the top handle and put a monitor on the top handle. Done. Maybe a mini matte. Or if you really don't want to change batteries put the v-mount on the bottom (would help with balance too). Don't get me wrong. I bought a $100 rig for my Canon T2i just to make it look bigger and more expensive in front of clients. But honestly I shot sooo much better with just a top handle.
@@BenGleasonMedia I no longer shoot a t2i (we're talking like 2012). I'm on a C70 now and have built my share of rigs. I'm genuinely curious. How do you use this rig and what does that setup do for you?
@@stevensmith4099 I’ve used it for commercial work, product videos, short films, music videos, RU-vid and highlight reels. The rods are there for ff support, either a manual follow focus or a wireless follow focus, if I have someone to pull focus for me. The camera has a flip out screen and I have a monitor for viewing so the v-mount is not a problem. And I powered the wireless with NPF because it was easier to run that rather than add another chord to the rig. Full disclosure I barely use the wireless FF and end up using the manual one instead. There are plenty of gripping points on the camera but I have considered adding a handle on the left side. For me it works, it’s not perfect, but as a handheld rig for those types of projects it gets the job done FOR ME.
these companies make nice small portable cameras only for people like u to make it so big btw would help u getting better stabilizers (i record on a 13 or 15 pro max with final cut camera do small tweaks and simple things in capcut and if neccacary do it in da vinci resolve after the small things)
