Carl’s death was the most stupid death decision through almost 10 Seasons no question.

A lot of fans were angry back then because Carl was supposed to be the future of the show every single thing that Rick’s done to this point was for Carl To just kill him off like that was nothing short of taking the piss to the show’s entire integrity.

Don't worry, guys...the entire flippin fandom reacted the same way. The next episode I bawled my fucking eyes out...there were no tears left. Utterly outrageous to kill off Carl Grimes.

What's stupid is the reason they killed off Carl is because they didn't want to pay the actor money after he turned 18

People hate so much on this episode and i get why but at same time its a reminder that we arent watching "the heroes" of the apocalipse. We are just watching a group of people that were good and lucky enough to survive for a long time. I think Carl's death was dumb as in the way he died but its was a wake up call that nobody is safe.

I honestly don't think I'll ever get over this decision that the walking dead made like it genuinely pisses me off so much. Carl was such an important part of the show, and in the comics he had great storylines coming up and made it to the very end! Literally was the future of TWD. I will never agree with this decision, especially considering the way Scott Gimple handled the situation with Chandler Riggs. Apparently in April Chandler was told he was needed for 3 more years. He bought a house near set bc he had been doing a long commute to film for years. Then in the middle of June, a couple weeks shy of his 18th birthday and 5 episodes into filming he was called into a meeting and told that Carl would be killed off in a few episodes :( Chandler Rigg's dad was pissed and called out Gimple in a fb post saying 'watching Gimple fire my son 2 weeks before his 18th birthday after telling him they wanted him for 3 years was disappointing. I never trusted Gimple or AMC but Chandler did. I know how much it hurt him. But we do absolutely know how lucky we have been to be a part of it all and appreciate all the love from fans all these years!'

As a life long Carl hater I still thought it was beyond stupid to kill him off. The show was his to take over.. damn you Scott Gimple!

Since you guys have seen all of season 8, Eugene never was going to fully go all in with the saviors and Negan, as shown by his helping Dr.Carson and Father Gabriel escape. He just doesn't tell anyone what he's doing, because he wants to prove to the rest of the group that he can do things on his own. Eugene getting rid of the walkers that were surrounding them was just him trying to save his own ass lol. He also would NEVER risk giving up his cover, either. Eugene is still Eugene.

Daryl didn’t cause the saviors to get out. It was Eugene that came up with a plan for them to escape.

They said they killed off Carl because they didn’t want to pay him.

Like I said last episode THIS WAS THE END for walking dead. It gets me mad all over again. Carl has been killing walkers by himself since he was 7 or 8 if he was to go out it wasn’t suppose to be like this. The writers made a pivotal mistake when they made this decision and it cost them greatly. Many ppl including myself walked away.

Gimpel had writer’s block and needed a death for the ending. He had strayed from the graphic storyline and Carl was the only death he could think of.

We all hate Carl dying!!!!!! Till this day biggest regret in the show, I think the writers think that too.

Just a week or two before he went on a suicide mission to kill Negan, and a few days after that was more than willing to kill every Savior that entered Alexandria. Then all of a sudden he is Ghandi?! Awful writing, insulted the audience's intelligence. ***And he started flip flopping BEFORE he got bit. ***And Ilya- Ricks 1v1 record is good. His only L was against the Governor because he was shot in the leg. He beat Shane in a close one, beat Pete, beat Tyrese, and ripped that Claimer guys throat out with his teeth!!

Gimple ruined everything. The original story is a graphic novel so you basically already have the entire show storyboarded for you. It's really that hard to just do what was? Make the fans happy and tell a good story? Nah that's too hard for Gimple he wants his ideas to be what people think about not Kirkman's works, just based off of them. Disgusting. I recommend you guys to read the graphic novels, way better way bigger and basically no filler.

Not to worry, the show does give Carl's death meaning. Unfortunately, he had to go. At this point in the story, the character is supposed to be no older than 13 years old, meanwhile the actor is around 18. I did like the character but I never thought the actor was very good.

Don’t listen to people tell you that “killing Carl was stupid”. It absolutely tears your heart out without question. And I would’ve loved him to survive, but it’s actually great writing and has major impacts in Rick’s journey and the rest of the story.
