I was lucky enough to have been using this case and phone since mere hours after release making me one of the longest users! This is my opinion of this case after 6 days.
Well done! Don’t ever accept substandard when you pay good money 👍. I got a second one but it had the same issue so I returned that one. It was early days and case choice was limited or I would have returned both.

Apple days as a quality pioneer are over. Now they re just as average. I’m saying this because I wasted thousands of dollars since I had my iPhones from last year break after one drop and because I bought so many cases in the past 12 months and they all break after a week or so or when I get them they are not well fitted/they have quality control issues with the usb-c cutout or edges, etc. With finewoven I had to return the case two times and only the third time I was able to find a perfect case with perfect cutout for the black finewoven. For the taupe one I had to return the case two times and only the third time I was able to find the case with perfect cutouts, but the case was still damaged from the factory. I also bought a clear case, and it was not the proper fit as the phone was wobbling in the inside of it and every time I would move the phone and move my hand you can hear and feel the annoying rattling of the phone inside the case. All of this issues were highlighted in forums like the Apple forum and also and Reddit and buy RU-vid community. Apple still did not address any of this.
Hi and thank you for your comment. Unfortunately, it's not just Apple doing it, it's everyone doing it now. Tech companies spent years and years lowering people's expectations until now they realise that people just accept any rubbish thrown at them and to make it worse you have the fanboy phenomenon where people feel the need to defend the indefensible simply because they want to justify the amount of money they spent on whatever they bought. Please continue to speak out against this trend towards mediocrity and don’t accept rubbish for your hard-earned money! I applaud you returning the case until you got a good one. I wish I could have done the same, but I got it on launch day and there really weren’t a lot of options back then.
The patina on the Samsung is to be expected, or did you want the patina ti be more spread out evenly? If your leather isn’t changing color its not good leather

The material is nice! I have found myself just rubbing it with my fingers when I’m sitting on the plane today . On the other hand my other half hates it and says it feels yucky 😝
Great video! In all fairness though your misalignment isn’t as bad as mine was. I’d say yours is almost as good as it gets. I had to replace mine as third party chargers actually wouldn’t work for me. Such shit QC doesn’t really help Apple when they’re replacing the so loved leather case with a fabric one.

@@f2w412 it does affect function. Some usb cables can’t be plugged in because of the offset. Regardless, a premium priced product requires premium build otherwise what are you really paying for? Would you accept rolls Royce with a door that wasn’t installed level? When buying premium products you aren’t paying for function, you are paying for quality. If you wanted function a $2 phone case would do the job.
