This Casio G-Shock Is A BEAST! GW-9400 

I'll tell you something about the Rangeman GW9400 that very few people have experienced This watch & compass were functioning perfectly at 5500 m during a climbing expedition to Mount Kailash at the Western part of the Tibetan plateau in Sept 2019.The temperature was about 10-12°C in the daytime and 0°C at night and the Rangeman DID NOT FREEZE!While my colleague wore Garmin Fenix recorded the Altitude accuracy reading at 4000m, 4500m, 5000m and 5500m, my Rangeman also performed admirably showing a deviation of between +100 m and + 150 m during each documented ascend.The corresponding Barometer readings results also were close.There were times when I fear my Rangeman would cease to operate or show water vapour on the screen but None of that happened over 2 weeks of the expedition journey!

Years of ownership and it's still my favorite.

Not one of the latest model from Casio, but if you could manage to find one, have a look at at the GW-3000B, antimagnetic, multi band 6, tough solar, 20 bar water resistant, and maybe a small (ish) review, would be quite wonderful, if you have some time available. Mine is around 8 + year old, and still going great, even the strap still the original one. I had many watches, even more expensive, and I still have few around, but Casio still one of my favourites, Thanks for all the fantastic reviews, that you are making for us loyal followers. 👏👏👏

Great watch, except the poor lug design. I was planning on picking one up, but hearing about the common lugs breaking issue completely put me off. I'd recommend getting the new Mudman, which is much better built and has all the features of the GW 9400 with a better pro trek display.
