I guess this could be considered "Real Vampire Mode" with how much blood you need to stay alive. Also I think this is the most scared I've ever seen anyone while playing this game, so that's pretty cool
Nah I was pretty damn tense during my fist only run of minotaur and werewolf I never wanna do that again my god Especially cause I was at lvl 12 during it
"A spell that most people only do on accident: Dark Metaphasis." I used that spell all the time because I like sustainability and BloodBorne. Also no, I never used it on accident. I could barely do it on purpose (stupid d-pad).
I love the fact that missing a peanut and dying while the peanut is still onscreen causes the script to freak out and makes you stuck in an infinite death loop.
The fact that it takes a mod this insane to even remotely slow DB down shows how next level his skill really is. Pretty sure that's only slightly worse total time than a casual player.
This randomly showed up on my RU-vid feed and earned you a new subscriber. I don't think I have the courage to try this mod myself-- unless there's one that's only 1 or 2% per tick, maybe...?
it's seriously so funny that the game butt-fucks you early on with lagging, but you using i-frames to make a potion actually go through is truly a "butt-fuck it right back" moment, only for the game to turn it right back around
That was def an entertaining run lol. Fun content as always. Prob a good place to mention my experience with the Ring of Varda dropping. I pretty much tested years ago on 360 and ps4 versions that the ring doesn't drop unless the file is marked as cleared. Several hours of grinding and thousands of kills and it never dropped. Even though I've gotten them in the past easily, but on an already cleared file. So after clearing the game, I went back and ended up getting a bunch of them within a few minutes. Might be a well known thing, but figured to put it out there just incase o/
1:56-1:57, 8:25, 15:32-15:33, 26:14-26:18, 39:30-39:31 Could've went Olrox Quaters for Silver Ring, all those Bloody Zombies would heal you the whole way, no item required, not to count the save point. 25:32
40:10 I am wondering if you can equip e.g. Bat or Demon Card and let the familiar kill Dracula for you while you're constantly dying because of that death bug.
Omg the peanut is actually useful! I've tried using it so many times with it just falling to the floor that I deemed it useless and stop trying in subsequent playthroughs.
thank you for inspiring a character for a story i'm writing: "a character who manages to convince death to train him in running. basically, he runs until he dies of exhaustion, death brings him back, and he does it again over and over and over". still a work in progress.
If there's one thing I wish I could do with SOTN, would be to map a certain button to select a spell (L Trigger, for example) and another button to use the spell. It's a bit like the mobile port, which is my only way to play SOTN since I haven't gotten around to using an emulator.
Oh, so that’s how Dark Metamorphosis works. I actually used it on purpose a few times in my first successful SotN run recently, usually when I was desperate for heals, but it wasn’t very consistent. Key thing to note: using it while fighting enemies that have no blood is worthless.
29:42 Huh? So I'll just guess that the system calculates decimals and shows us whole numbers? Cuz that's the only way you didn't die after reaching "0hp", which actually was maybe a couple tenth hp.
U know how when Soma beats a monster it's chunks fall on the floor and engulf in flames? Alucard bursting into a huge explosion of blue flame gives me the same vibe, I know they've both met but still lore maybe?
this is actually looking like a really fun challenge i almost wanna like legimately route this but i am not even good enough to consider it . Maaaaaaaaaaaan
Man this mod of SOTN reminds me of Doom 3 on Nightmare difficulty you lose a certain mount of health per second. I am sure other modern Doom games have this but Doom3 was the game that came to mind. Man this made such an easy game to beat into a torture fest.
Surprisingly, ONLY Doom 3 has that in Nightmare difficulty. Doom and Doom II have respawning enemies, fast enemies(always attack if the player is visible) and double ammo. Doom 2016 increases enemy damage by 90% Doom Eternal also turns enemy damage up to a brutal amount and makes monsters more aggressive.
@@SyRose901 Yeah I knew about Doom and Doom2 on Nightmare having respawning enemies. Interesting that 2016 and Doom Eternal both buff up the monsters either with dmg or health.
