Not even close the price for a full ''branded'' exhaust, lmao, those are 4k-5k plus just the back portion, lmao, what u talking about, i bet he didnt even spend a quarter of that, its a bmw m series, not a regular 2000's american car lol. And most of the times, its not about having the best of the best, but to get what u can, thats the spirit.
The original muffler he chopped out is worth more than what was done. Now he’s basically has a mismatched exhaust of different size piping. What was the use of the 3 inch downpipes when the exhaust shop necked it down to 2.5”
that's what I was thinking. Back pressure is a myth in 4 stroke engines. You want scavenging. Beyond that, in turbo engines, any restriction behind the turbos is reducing power.
@7:15 and @10:23 now it sounds kinda like a v8. BMWs have a raspy tone/drone I'm not a fan of when people make them too loud though. Prefer the old sound of v8 amg mercs
every M sounds really bad revving but sounds better when its actually driving but if someone keeps coming back to change something he obviously don't like the car sound period but forcing himself to like it.
All of these visits could've been avoided by just doing research and buying once, done it once... youtube, theres more people doing the same to their x5m's. See what they did and chose if you like it.
Customer : make my car LOUD I want everyone knowing im coming home... Customer 2 weeks later : my cars too loud...no one likes me anymore except that one guy who has a civic at the end of my road... 😆
@@ESautos on every other vehicle I've heard it makes it worse I'm used to Mustangs and F-150s with x-pipes that are super raspy when they switch out to H pipes the tone is way better and less raspy so maybe it depends on the vehicle
This guy wasted a lot of money, not knowing what he wanted to start with. Should have just left it alone. At least he drove it and put miles on it in between changes.
@@exhaustaddicts i have had exhaust modifications that didn’t take to long and my engine/oil gauge didn’t come down that far🤣 Or his reading is messed up or it’s a little above not cold
🥶 I can’t wait for the day when I get my BMW. I just don’t know which BMW to get because they’re all flavored in their own unique way. I love this M. I love the 35i as well, but I want some power so I would rather the 50i. Any suggestions?
go for the 35i for reliability. N55 engine is very reliable and has some tuning potential as well. 50i is also reliable for any F15 X5 2014+. X5M is also decently reliable as long as you do spark plugs every 15k and oil change every 6k. X5M is definitely a beast tho
@@5Juss0Blaze4 ofc, lmk if you need more info when deciding between the 3. me personally, I think the 50i is the sweet spot since it’s the best of both worlds
@@5Juss0Blaze4 X5 M50i is a great car. Started producing in 2020 and it has the N63TU3 engine. Very reliable and very high tuning performance and gets decent gas mileage for a V8 Performance SUV
That’s the Oil temp gauge BMWs don’t have coolant temp gauges and that’s not cold once the needle passes the 160 you’re good to beat on it oil temps on average for these 210-220 normal driving and 230-250 beating on it
@@StockTurboN20yeah definitely boring. But all the fixes with the exhaust and complaining about “drone” and “loud” they just need to remain stock and stop crying.
I'm not really sure why you would do this instead of buying a nice cat-back. Typically you would hack off things and put pipe in it's place for financial reasons. However, if you have the money to afford this car, then go catless AND get the exhaust modified three different times? That's probably the same price as a nice Borla/Magnaflow system while retaining the factory valves. Besides the fact you'd most certainly gain more from a tune with a real system. The math ain't mathing. It sounds alright for what it is. Also, I would never slam off limiter in something like this. Especially 1st or even 2nd gear. But then again I'm a brokie so what do I know.
