There’s something fascinating about your RU-vid channel- probably the professionalism, the humor, the excellent problem solving demonstrated, and the calm and joyful appreciation of life… all these things I enjoy very much. Thank you for making the effort to share all this and congratulations on your wonderful family, too.
Four years ago you mentioned that you were feeling dejected because of how the election was shaping up, but then you cheered up because your new chainsaw was ready. Even though I live in Australia I felt the same way, so I thought You know what, I'm going to get me a new chainsaw, and it worked, I felt better. It was probably a good month for sales. Thanks for the video.
Awesome, August! I really love watching you when you're making your notches and how you back your back cuts!! I have definitely learned a lot over the past 17 years I have been watching your YT videos!!!
Enjoyed the video. It's great seeing you enjoying the Echo DCS2500T. It is a joy to use as it's so well balanced and light....and cuts above it's size level. I run one most of the time and also enjoy my Husky 540i for a little bigger stuff. At my age the last thing I want to be doing is pull starting my all the time when climbing. Can't deal with a lot of weight up there. I am a conservative who loves his battery saws.
That's exactly what I thought 😂. Many times I've dropped a tree that I notched 8-15' off the ground and corner to corner in a yard to make it fit, after they've been toldit will need to be climber/rigged out. I like to say, climbers will climb lol. Be safe.
I was excited to try the Nano but was under impressed after using the Panther !!! I'm soooo thrilled they came up with a good bar !!!!! It's kinda like the Chevy Caprice is a solid car that will last but it doesn't Rip like the Corvette 😁😁 I love the Panther !!! Dang that Madrone sounded like aluminum hitting the driveway 😳 Thank you for making my night with another video August ❤❤
@ddalton692 The Nano Speed Cut is actually a kit, bar, chain, and sprocket because it's smaller. I got it for my 201 but went to put it on an found out it was for a Husky. Found out it would fit his electric Husky so I sent it to him to try out. Then got mine and was disappointed after using the Panther. I think mostly because the chain is basically a home owner type chain with dual rakers for anti kickback ? So I called the Oregon rep to see if they would make a good chain for it like the Pro cut (after all it's only going to be professional's that buy it) He checked into it and text me back and said no that's how they designed it 🫤 I think it would be good with a good chain. But now that Panther has come up with a good quality bar that's what I'll be using on all my top handles. The old Panther bar's didn't last very long but Wow they cut so great I kept buying them 😅 feels like you have a scalpel in your hand up in the tree 👍👍 Thanks for the reply 😉
@danmcburney3247 just use a dremel or cutoff wheel on a grinder to remove the extras on those chains. I have a 5 gallon pail of home depot one use rental chains, they are the same type with the huge "shark fins" on them, they work great after cutting them off.
Thanks for the video. Man I thought dry Oak was the hardest. I've seen sparks from the chainsaw when cutting it. Our splitter could generate ~12,000lb force and some of the wet 2ft Oak logs would just stop it. We learned to chainsaw it wet and split it dry. I live in Tx. Plenty of Oak
August, I am thankful you are not left and that you are not a Democrat. I could tell you were not either of these because: you are smart, you have common sense and you are working hard everyday and love America, its traditions value, freedoms and belief in God. I will follow that, as many of the traits you/I have from the above; the left and Dems do not possess or value. MAGA buddy!
I enjoy learning from you and your team; I really wish folks didn't make everything a "them vs us" debate. I figured one would simply use the saw of choice for the job.
So I've used both panther and speedcut chain, and the speedcut is durable and cuts fast, but the panther chain is better. Panther cuts considerably faster, and lasts a long time. I've had panther chain snap and the speedcut chain is substantial enough that it probably wouldn't have, but I was mostly doing something I shouldn't have been doing. (Chunking down 20 inch oak, specifically). Otherwise the panther chain has been bulletproof. It's semi-chisel, and seems to stay sharp for 10, 15, 20 tanks of gas. It's unreal. Once the new panther bars are out and I can be sure they won't split I'll probably switch back. Side note: I've found the panther bars will stay good longer if you run Stihl winter oil through them (even in the summer). The thinner oil seems to keep them from burning up. Awesome video as always! Love the content!
Hey , I like also the batterysaw from husqvarna. For my work it is enough 535 with BLi200x and bl300. A very good tophandle saw 👌🏽god bless you august 🙏🏽🕎
My homeowners insurance was cancelled because there was a crack in the patio concrete and the 3 steps at the front door had no handrails but there was handrails on the landed.
My neighbor had his canceled because the flew a drone over his house and found a half dozen leaves in the gutter. And we live in town surrounded by two rivers and flooded rice fields. Our fire danger is about zero. But they want out of California and I can’t say I blame them. 😞
👍 Thank you August for another great video. ✅ I really enjoyed the ending, It's got that Clint Eastwood vibe 😎 I'm familiar with the Pacific Madrona, so I just looked up the Silver Madrone/ Manzanita you are working with. Those sycamore and London plane trees I've called "sneezy trees". One can't stop coughing, eyes watering, just miserable! I feel for you guys. Have a great week everyone ❤️🌲😎
They are always going to make money. They have to. No one works for free. The problem is when the government makes them cover every thing, they raise rates or exit the market location. Florida is a great example right now. After the Surf Side condo collapse, insurance rates are unaffordable.
This vs that is such an immature scenario usually played out by simpletons who can't think objectively. Thanks for the video dude. Always entertaining.
All I can say is the high back 2.0 is one of the best harnesses I've came across by far you did an outstanding job on making that and I love the red white blue theme
Poking fun at Reon is always funny 😂 tooodaayyysss job!! I'm not an arborist but I have a full appreciation for the battery saws. It's so much easier on you guys, WAY better for the camera, no pull start no carbs no nothing. Anyone who thinks professional grade battery saws are gay is just dead wrong
August the 540i has been your Saw in some of the best Videos that I've seen you do. Of course the 200T has done this over and over as well. Thank you August for teaching me more about Tree Work than anyone Living. Left or Right is only distraction. I say follow God. I remember one Video where the 540i had just enough Battery to make one of my most loved Videos. I love Chainsaws August. It makes my Brain hurt to compare them with Politics.
Worked 35 years as a powerlineman. Work side by side with tree trimmers...nothing but respect for these guys...a good crew of tree trimmers working ahead of my line crew make work so much easier if there alot of cutting to be done
Sure glad i didn't watch what there was to watch, cause i may have watched something i definitely didn't want watch in case i watched it. Here i akaays thought you were right handed, and so im confused about some calling you a lefty. Must of missed something without all the 2 cycle engines not running, and i dozed off. Strangest thing trees magicly falling over without the exhaust if 2 cycle engines screaming, and the tale tale smell of 2 cycle oil filling ones lungs like the old days when all the moto cross bikes burned bean oil instead of dinosaur juice.. Hopefully that cleared everything up nicely for everyone.
I use the mb speedline slings for rigging all the time. When i want a lil extra surface area on the rope pinch point ill add another sling and biner as not to cut the rope. They are pretty dang strong. Many tops ive taken with the mb slings.
Another great vid by August and crew! After reading comments, it seems a shame so many appear insecure enough in their beliefs that a satirical title gets lost on them and triggers defensive keyboard pokes. My consumer level E- saw has climbed with me several times and I can appreciate it's benefits when applicable. The petrol saws work better for me at the remaining jobs. Why would golfers lug so many clubs around if they all performed the same task? Neither saw platform has affected my political values, nor has my new beloved MB2 saddle - sub proudly retained!
Have used battery powered sawsdoing power utility.Battery powered saws work well but you have to find one easy to get your rubber gloves in the controls..They're fantastic in that you don't have to crank a gas saw in tight plsces.only drawbackis your batter can go out in the middle of a cut...gotta keep spare battery with you at all times.. old green poles are hard and rough on any kind of saw
i feel its not right to call "safety chain" homeowner chain, Oregon claims the safety rakers do make any major impact to cutting, so even if it is cuting slower, you are gaining a huge benefit, that being more control over said saw, and that would be reason enough that a company may prefer to use saws with safety chain over good old fashion cutters. so its more simply the evolution of saw chain, and less of a chain geared towards homeowner's
I just put an Oregon 91VXL chain (no anti KB) on my 2511, seems pretty aggressive on a test cut. I'll be putting some run time on it soon. I don't like my saw hook closed either, hasn't fallen out yet, it's a homemade hook with a little snag at the tip. Thanks for posting, I always enjoy. Blessings sir!
I can't believe that there are people out there who can try to judge your political preference based on your willingness to use an electronic chainsaw. The bit that I really can't believe is that these same people have the mental capacity to be able to type a coherent comment on a social media platform?!?!?!? Must have asked their kids to do it for them!!!!! 😋😂😂😂😂😂
Funny title! Electric hand tools are great because they don't see constant load.. so drills, impact drivers, chainsaws are a good application. But electric cars and some battery tools like demo saws or a concrete power trowel just put too much constant load and battery tech just isn't good enough for that.
Been using cordless drills since the early 90's and have several other cordless tools! Cordless nail guns etc... Has nothing to do with climate BS, there are times when it's just convenient! I can see how it would be the same with a chainsaw! I cut down many trees with an electric saw that were 100ft tall because I don't need a gas saw for as seldom as I use one. (I cleared my property in Florida with a gas saw because there was no power at the time)
I love electric when it makes sense. It's stupid to avoid improved battery technology in tools. Just like it's stupid for the government to force the use of electric in tools and cars. Let the rational acting consumers decide for themselves.
That backyard bank hill..looks like most jobs here except we haveslate rock and others..they are deceivers trees lean like 3 directions can be misleading ..had some beech that got the better of me..
There shouldn't be Dems an Reps.... we should all just be Americans and do what's best for our country and people. That's not happening. We're so far down now I'm not sure if we can ever come back 🥺
If anyone is curious, with 14" bars my Echo 2511T = 7#, Makita 36V = 10-1/2# with 5.0Ah batteries and T540i = 11-1/2# with Bli300 battery. The Bli200x battery is 1.28# lighter per Husqvarna and so the T540i should be a little lighter than the Makita when I switch. The Milwaukee looks pretty chunky but I haven't used one. I think the Echo might be the only decent LIGHT cordless saw that doesn't cost a right nut. Well, I guess I don't know if Stihl has anything decent and lightweight. Echo says 7.3# for the 2500T w/2.5Ah battery and I assume 12" bar.
Ive tryed..the ported 2511t is just best..can run 14 or16. 043 stihl polesaw bar and chain..or the panther.pain to sharpen but generally just swap while working.not tryed the nano from jacob yet.seems its the same as .325 on thats on the t450i..t542i..wich for me is only battery saw would use but sold mine ..running 3 ported 2511t s....Aaron lynch did them and there incredible. .especially with wounded arms..havent even ran my new 201t it just hurts my arm looking at it..the echo 2511t has that side handle at angle its superior to other top handles the balance and that handle ..WHY ? ECHO dosent make a 3911t with auto tune is beyond stupidity they would destroy the market...wouldn't need 201ts..realy been struggling but cant wait to get a monkey beaver high back ...😅😢
I just bought a new T540i because it was cheap by including two batteries and chargers. $545 plus tax. They are shipping with SP21G chain which is 0.325LP 0.043" gauge. So Speedcut Nano, except the Nano has the oiling grooves in the drivers. Otherwise they look the same. The T540i is a pig with the big battery. I'll have to sell one and get the smaller battery. The echo looks nice though for smaller stuff.
@@brettblack7049 Looks like the 15% off at North40 is over, so $640 for the saw. But they still include the two free BLi300 batteries and QC500 chargers. They charged me $29 shipping plus tax on the saw.
DUDE- America IS Great. Has been since we kicked the British out in 1776. Just because some wannabe says otherwise doesn’t necessarily make it so. People from all over the world wish they had the opportunity that we were lucky enough to have been gifted by our birth location. Ever been to a foreign country? I have, and it really showed me how lucky I was to have been born here. 😊 😎
