The good thing with these cars is their engine is very well built. It's not bulletproof of course...nothing truly is. But Ford built these engines with love and attention to detail. Usually whenever you have an issue it tends to be something minor and easy to fix yourself. This of course changes when you're pushing the engine to it's limits with 700+ whp and more but that's a given with any engine pushing much more power than stock. I'm glad you're still loving the car man. I love your channel and all the time you put into your videos. I've had mine since 06 (2nd owner) and I'll never get rid of her. Cheers from up North ✌🏽
That’s awesome owning your cobra since 06, I could only imagine the feeling of driving such a beast in the mid 00’s. Thank you for your support 🙏🏻 and yes I love the these cars, I wanna keep this one for a very long time.
Glad you figured it out. I've learned a lot about using a wrench since owning my Cobra, I can thank the car for that. There is always a plus. Appreciate the update on the channel. 😍 Mine was doing this recently, I found the leaking vacuum hose. Been running great now.
Glad you put the mustang back in the grill it has everything to do with the cars heritage and after all ford did give you a cobra right by your door to remind you every time you climb in what you got.
It's definitely understandable how one can loose motivation from an issue like that but im glad you were able to fix your car and that it runs great! I really enjoy your content brother 🙌🏻
Thanks brother! Yes it was truly frustrating because I was a year trying to fix it, I spoke to the owner of the blower (Jerry who owned the blower and throttle body before me) and told m me he never had an issue, so I really thought I had screwed up somewhere lol
Being by your side, watching the struggle, the headaches and frustration, I am so happy to know that our baby is back up and performing outstanding 🙌 I love you you so much and I’m forever proud of you ❤
Very nice Video, I am glad you were able to get it resolved. The 99/04 Edge Mustangs have become my favorite and I have owned and been around Mustangs since the 60's. Good call on putting the Pony back in the grill area, the OEM look is by far better. Keep up the good work !
Glad you got it fixed man, appreciate the content and your experiences. Really wish I could join your cobra meets, have a lonely 04 redfire up here in northern Indiana. Keep up the good work
Defiantly know how you felt. I had a lot of drivability issues stemming from my throttle body after swapping to my VMP, I was at the point where if someone offered me enough I would have sold it. Modding Cobras can be frustrating when things do not go right but once the issues get ironed out and they drive as they should it makes it all worth it. Glad you were able to get it all figured out and squared away.
Thanks man! I didn’t know you also had issues with your throttle body, seems like something common on these cobras. I’m really glad the car drives like factory again, that high idle was so annoying.
I have the complete opposite issue. Mine will drop rpm's sometimes very low for a few seconds then sit at about 700. Also when rev matching and just blipping the throttle it gives off like a sputter sound. I suspect it might just be a tuning issue. Spring time is when I'll get to it
They are mostly small things, many many people are very happy with these awesome cars, they are not Camrys or Accords, most of these types of cars have similar issues, the engine and trans are bullet proof unless you go crazy. Every and any cars that have a bunch of power from BMWs to Corvettes to Nissans are always getting repaired at dealerships.
