You didn't notice, but after buying the hungry grass, you got a +21 attack bonus. I believe that the Grass takes into account the spheres collected earlier.
I just got back into this game recently and this last patch is just brutal. The game was already ridiculously hard on higher levels (even basic level for that matter), but now i feel like they made it so that builds are very limited in what you can take to win a run. I noticed in yhe comments for the patch i wasnt alone. Also what the hell does Armor do in tgis game? I feel like unless you have a gazillion armor it does absolutely nothing.
The recent patch did make things harder, in some ways, but I'm really glad they adjust the XP nerf for Nightmare difficulty. It used to be -40% xp compared to the easiest difficulty, now it's only 30% (whereas the other two difficulties have it at 10% and 20%), so it makes the transition from Darkness to Nightmare a lot less daunting, and much more manageable. In my opinion, the harshest thing they did on this patch was change how the money works in all difficulties, which they reverted. Other than that, the lesser rerolls and crit builds do feel kinda bad, but I think the XP changes make up for it, early game. To me, though, late game is much harder now, and was already the hardest (or most punishing) part of the game, in my opinion. Don't know how many runs I've had where I go deathless in the first two chapters, just to lose within the first 5 minutes of the third chapter. Chalk some of that up to familiarity, and some up to the third area having some insane enemies. As for armor, I'll cite another viewer @TealTable, and the comment they left a few days ago: "if you have 100 armor, you are taking 50% less damage, which means your effective health is doubled. Now, having 100 vitality also means that your effective health is doubled, but it also means it requires double the healing to get you to full. Armor and vitality are essentially influencing your effective health the exact same, but armor makes your healing more valuable." So, realistically, 1 armor = .5% damage reduction from all sources. It does take a lot to get 100 armor, tho, much more than it takes to get 100 vitality, usually, but the point about armor being more effective with healing is true. Hope all this helps! And good luck in your runs :)
@@SyphroPlays Thanks for the tips! I just started Darkness difficulty and even though it doesn't say it on the description, it feels like a major difficulty jump. I'm a huge fan of these devs since Curse of the Dead Gods is one of the most underrated rogues ever made and I 100%'d that. My biggest problem I've been having is proccing the enemies outside of event areas. I got to remember to almost clear them out first before going in cause I end up getting overwhelmed.
Seems that way. I think chapters 1 and 2 will be easier and chapter 3 will be harder, tho. Cuz after you get to level 10, leveling up is a lot less useful.
have not words ... :O Hope Diamond is must have now and when you have 1000 gold it means +- 2 purchases only :O lost money is not big problem now because power of money is half and may be do not need clear green area gold objectives now ... :O
