I can't wait to see this at EVO! Everything I have to say here comes from experience in Samsho games from V Special and before. Hanzo is a difficult, but rewarding character to learn. You should consider the strengths of his jumping heavy slash and kick (vs. Windsplitter), standing medium, and crouching medium/quick slash to Bakuen Ryu for pressure. Also, he is one of the strongest character's when disarmed because his punches have deceptively great speed with good range, plus he has all his special moves at his disposal when unarmed. I think it goes without saying that training your opponent is very important because... Learning his mix-ups is vital to confusing and creating the most havoc with this character, which is the foundation of how Hanzo is played. Experienced Ukyo players have always been the greatest challenge for me personally. Standing Bakuen Ryu (varying speeds) into dash is an excellent setup. Follow that with a slide kick or heavy over-top slash depending on how they block. Spice up that mix up with the running Shrike Drop, or create extra confusion by doing a windsplitter or just empty jumping over them. The same confusion tactics apply by training your opponent by hitting (or not) with a jump in attack and performing a Shrike Drop. There's so many things that Hanzo can do. I'm curious as to whether we can jump-cancel out of a jump or backdash on landing in this new game. It's been a staple of the SamSho games since the first game.

He was actually a renowned Samurai of the Tokugawa era, but due to his exceptional ability and the connection of the Hattori famility to the Iga province which was known as a place Ninja families lived, he has often been portrayed as a Ninja, perhaps he was...

Sick matches max!!! Im hype for this game at evo!!! For some reason when i lose in this game it give me the same feeling as pokken did, step1-i get angry, step2- i try not to scream ,step3- i get the salty rematch. Repeat until i win or my oppoenent get tire of destroying me lol always rematch after winning 1 after going on a loosing streak vs the same game

Das some nice hanzo there. Remember, he also has a move that lets him put out a substitution dummy when he's about to get hit. Can't remember if it's a counter or not, but it's definitely a dodge that leaves a wooden dummy in your place and lets you escape damage.

I’m still learning the ropes of fighting games again. Last one I really got into was Soul Caliber 2. Only dabbled till SamSho dropped. It’s clear everyone wants to play this like more modern fighting games rather than playing the fundamental game. People sure love jumping in too much, including myself. Really like this game though and even just watching it.

I know it fits in with his backstory and character, but Genjuro is one very angry sounding man.
