I have serial number 2 camera and I can give full 5/5 points for the thing! Sure there is faster more expensive cameras but this is the easiest high speed camera to use and the price is also really good compared to anything else.

+BreckRB We use Phantom cameras also and they are also really great but most of our slow motion videos are filmed with Chronos. We don't get enough money per video to buy or rent phantom for every video and even the newest phantoms that are quite easy to use are still bit slower to setup than chronos.

Gordon Hatcher Doesn't matter if my monitor is only 240Hz, higher frame rates help with frame time so my 4ms reaction times aren't held back.

No one recorded room audio first to build a noise profile to filter out the background noise in production. That takes a bit of time ofc, at 1 video per day maybe it doesn't fit into LTT's fast paced work flow yet.

Yep, there's a lot of noise in the background. Most likely they aren't using any kind of noise reduction. Its maybe because either there's a lot of noise in the background when they were recording, or they overused limiters so the audio is loud, but so is the noise.

14:07 20 years ago when I worked in R&D the manager was our FPGA programmer. He was the manager because there weren't that many good quality FPGA programmers back then. Hard to come by. We made satellite comms equipment for TV stations. So, if you're thinking of becoming a programmer, consider FPGA. You'll be in high demand.

And it helps to get into FPGA from the beginning of your higher education. Conventional programming will not prepare you for it. If you like hardware level design then that fits with FPGA really well. Break out the oscilloscope and monitor the circuits in realtime. These are skills that companies pay really well for ;o)

Krafty Beard yeah I think they used to do it... I wonder why it stopped though. It's not that hard to include credits. The video editor could just write in a notepad file and place it into the rendered export of the finished product. Imo it's just laziness and overall a decrease in quality simply cause they can't be arsed to credit some other content producer.

38000 f/s at 336x96 but 1057 at 1024is still decent. but 3k for 4 seconds or add 400-1000 for longer is expensive. but compared to other cameras it is cheap.

Well, it's basic math. Your RAM limit is 32GB, and you can't record this fast anywhere other than RAM.

Spirit Maybe they can find a cheaper RAM solution. It'll be difficult but might be doable with more FPGA trickery. But if RAM prices are already minimum, FPGA tricks may allow more resolution instead.
