I find it so funny that you both crunch down on your chocolate pieces immediately instead of letting them melt in your mouth first . Your missing such a huge component to chocolate! The melt ! ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Hi Kate & Alex love your videos, Southern Ireland uses the Euro and Northern Ireland uses the UK pounds. I love lily O'brien chocolates especially the white truffle chocolate.
Kate and Alex - my grandmother died almost 10 years ago and today would have been her 99th birthday. She lived more than half her life here in Canada but was born and raised in Chelsea and was a Londoner through and through. She was my hero - the strongest, wisest, cheekiest person I knew - and I miss her terribly. All this to say that your vids always make me smile but I especially appreciated it today!
We have the big bars of gaburys also and everyone eats the complete small barah loved wilton but they were a long bar and wrapped in wax paper. The reason you may have heard of skellig is because skellig rock was used in star wars opening scenes
I've never tried Turkish Delights but have always wanted to. I'll have to look for some, they look great! I am a dark chocolate person, but can only go to maybe 73%, after that it's too bitter for me. I was excited to learn that Cadbury's has a bar with Honeycomb! I am obsessed with Honeycomb. Growing up when we visited the Oregon coast, we always went to a candy shop and they sold a candy called "Sea Foam". Come to find out, that was honeycomb. ... Recently I have found out that I can no longer drink coffee so I've switched to tea. This is the second time you've shown Barry's tea. I'm definitely going to be ordering some! Thank you for another great video!
You’ll definitely have to try Turkish delight one day! 😀 yeah gets pretty bitter after that! Yes 😀 we have a crunchie bar which is honeycomb dipped in chocolate. It’s delicious 😋 yes!! I’ve heard other countries call it sea foam. How fun! Tea is delicious 😋 if you get Barry’s I hope you enjoy it too 🥰 thank you for watching
That was such an epic ending to this series! Wow!! So many amazing things you guys tried! I’m so sorry to hear about your mum! 🥺 oh Debbie! sending you a quick and speedy recovery, beautiful! And I like yours and Al’s idea about getting the kids teachers chocolates! Why do you think your boxes are always so welcomed each month?! 🤣 been home schooling for 7 years now, and this momma will take all the chocolates she can get! 🤣 wishing you guys such a fantastic rest of your week! Cheers to a great weekend and see you next week ❤️❤️😘😘😘😘😘
We were absolutely blown away with these Irish boxes. All so delicious 😋 thank you Somer ♥️🌸 hahaha 🤣 go you for home schooling for 7 whole years!! That’s amazing. Hope you get treated with gifts after the school terms 😆 hope you have a wonderful rest of your week too Somer. See you next week ♥️😘♥️😘♥️😘
Hi Kate and Alex! Another great box! I have never had and of these treats. They all looked amazing! am sure they tasted amazing. I hope you're mum gets better soon. Sending love and light. Have a great week.
I say this in the nicest way but I watch you guys every night to go to bed! You guys are so calming. the canadian are my go but love a new one especially long ones :)
Skelligs the rock drawn of the front of the skelligs chocolate is the rock used at the start of the recent star wars film with obi one. Laura gave you high end chocolates. We dropped our punt for the euro since 2000 i think
I’ve been to the Skellig Chocolate factory! We did a boat tour to the Skellig Michael (so many puffins!) and then came across this chocolate factory just past the marina. I bought so much chocolate to bring back home. Delicious. I also had the orange chocolate, but I think my favorite thing I bought there was the Irish Whiskey truffles. They also had some amazing sea salt caramels. It’s a gorgeous area and would be a quick trip for y’all.
Irish chocolate is the best. The Butlers cafes have Mochas that have melted chocolate in them. The White Mocha has to be tasted to be believed . Love Iced Caramels as well and the Coleen sweets are great. One of the sweets is Emeralds. They are amazing and you can buy packets of them on their own.Love the milky toffees as well.Love being Irish and being able to have these when I want
So i absolutely love reading. I just ordered the book. Idk if you saw but there’s actually a sequel. I bought that one too. I’ll message you my thoughts when I’m finished with them ☺️
Lemon is often a Turkish Delight flavour. Don’t like the Fry’s, but really like the one from M & S. My dad is also a fan, so I have got him some for Father’s Day!
One of my favourite words I use daily is 'super'......itssssss super :) Great vid guys , thanks to your first vid from Ireland iv booked to go soon cant wait. xx
Are you from American? I do feel like I’ve heard lots of people in the US say super! I’ll have to start it over here 😀 no way!! That’s so exciting 😀😀 hope you have a fantastic trip!! Xx
Yes love Turkish delight that was a superb mixture of chocolate, sweets loved theThe iced caramel😋 Have a Great week end Hope your mum recovering well 💐
I wanna try Butler's and Turkish Delight, I've never had any. I love reading, and if you guys ever want to try out a series you can download the first book on Kindle for free. It's Ashley Gardner The Hanover Square Affaire. It's set in 1800s England, although she has never been and admittedly created her own England, but the series is too awesome. It's about an injured Army Captain living a sparse life and solving mysteries for anyone in town.
Ireland uses Euros, was pund before the Euro. And Northern Ireland uses pound same as us. Ireland is very much part of Europe Also the Irish dairy milk I miss so much that I got my Irish family to send me some. Sometimes you can get it in the world food isles in Tesco or morrisons but not often
I wish I was there with yall to try all these chocolates !!!! Chocolate is sooooooooooo my thing !!!!!! We do get a Cadbury Mint Dairy Milk bar here in Canada !!!
Although I don’t mind the lemon Turkish Delight, it’s hard for me to understand how people enjoy rose flavored candy. Guess you have to grow up with it, my husband’s favorite! That along with violets all taste like perfume!
Im Iranian and I LOVE rose flavoured candy and desserts !!! I did grow up with it cause rose water is frequently used in desserts and candy in the middle east !!!! I LOVE Turkish delight LOL
I’m here and 3 rd lol 😂. Have you on and watching while getting a treat 😊. Missed watching you both. You both look so happy 😀. I’m loving the tulips 🌷👍. Say the word truffle and I’m there 😋😍
@@FoodTastertv - I always have a box of Godiva chocolates lol 😂. The store is near me. So every time I’m at the mall I get some. But I only ate 1. Honest 😉
Im actually planning on doing an all CADBURY bars video soon on my channel !!! Now that I saw yall try those Cadbury bars Im even more excited cause we have gotten a bunch of new and exciting Cabdury bars in canada in the past few months !!! Soon we are getting a Cadbury Mini Eggs Dairy Milk Bar here and ill be including that in my video !!!
@@ThisWithThem I believe we are getting that bar as a permanent addition as the actual Cadbury mini eggs are sold year round here in Canada and apparently so is the Chips Ahoy Cadbury Mini Eggs cookies now.
Sugar Rush 😀 so many of those look so good. The truffle white chocolate bar... looked amazing. Might have drooled a little thinking about how good it must be🤣
Loved this series! We got to visit the Ferrero factory in primary school and see how tic tacs are made and bring lots of tictacs home too, it was cool! And Butlers do soooo many truffle bars in milk/dark as well with different flavours (mint, baileys, whiskey, caramel) they are so rich I can only ever eat one piece at a time! 😁
I have never in my memory, anyway, have tried Turkish Delights. I understand our Aplets And Cotlets are similar? And on that note, Liberty Orchards ,who makes them, has decided against shutting down. They'd been looking for a buyer. Either they did or the uproar over their closing changed their minds. A Pacific Northwest icon. I'd hate to see it go.
HADJI ( pronounced Haaji ) means someone that has gone to Mecca in Saudi Arabia and has done the Muslim ceremony around the house of god in Mecca . I LOVE Turkish delight !! Nothing beats that rose water flavoured centre !!!
Loved the video🥰🥰 Just for your information, the whole of the Republic of Ireland has the euro, whereas Northern Ireland (which belongs to the United Kingdom) has the pound:) Furthermore I wanted to let you know that the chocolate bar, Bean & Goose, at the end of the video has an Irish owned, Limerick based, peanut butter inside it! Lots of love from Luxembourg 🇱🇺💕
We have a little girl at our rugby league club with the name Aiofe I never knew how to pronounce it till you said it haha I’ll be talking to her all the time now
That’s so weird about TicTacs being manufactured in Ireland now. When I was a child in the 80s, we visited Ireland every year from the US and Tictacs were a highly requested candy to be brought over to our family. Our suitcases would be full of TicTacs haha.
I wish they sold jolly ranchers everywhere in Ireland like they used to, they are my favorite. I still buy them every time I see them. You can still get them but only in specialist stores.
The crisp bits in the mint chocolate are the flavoured bits not the chocolate. We have mint crisp in Australia and I love it too. The mint crispy bits are so refreshing. I absolutely love the Cadbury wispa and wispa gold. We don’t get them here in our supermarkets we have to buy them from specialty lolly shops. You’re Cadbury’s is a lot creamy than ours, it’s delicious 🤤
The Lir Chocolate ball actually seems to come closer to "Giotto" (rather than Ferrero Rocher) that we have here in Germany! 😁 Have you ever tried them? 🍫
Please anybody who sees this find them a zero bar they are hard to find and typically only in gas station nowadays maybe 7-Eleven's unless you can find them elsewhere because the zero bar is a candy bar that is all but disappeared but was one of my favorite and still exist but hard to find! It is a white chocolate candy bar. www.amazon.com/dp/B001IZE7UU/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_glt_fabc_KDZD90HJZE2MPM0Q5ZDS?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1 They are made by Hershey's and also sold by Walmart if anybody would like to pick up the quest for them. Also if you haven't tried it Andes mint chocolate. As well only available in the holidays someone please find them the holiday chocolate orange that you have to crack open.
Can I tell you something? I dont know why I was dying to eat something with chocolate and now this video is uploaded hahahha. I love chocolate from Switzerland and Germany.
The Cadbury Irish factory is now the only Cadbury factory that makes their chocolate like it used to be. Cadbury is now owned by the giant Amrican Kraft corporation. They closed down the English factories and moved them to Asia. I don't buy Cadbury anymore because they fired their British workers.
I enjoy eating Turkish Delight, but I don't really crave it! In my country (Algeria), we consume Turkish Delight more in the holy month of Ramadan than in the rest of the year. I'm surprised to learn that Ireland has its own Turkish Delight!!
@@ThisWithThem Yes! In addition to Turkish Delight, other sweet things (like traditional sweets "Qalb El Louz" & "Zalabia or Jalebi") are also desired in Ramadan! You can look them up & learn their recipes.
👑 That box was fantabulous !! Maybe Alex was thinking about Jack Skellington from Nightmare Before Christmas ! When he heard about Skelling Candies. Laura you sure know how to spoil Kate and Alex ! I luv how some of the candy manufacturers overlook beautiful scenery. And the packages are so FANCY ! 🐩 You mentioned that Harrod’s carry the Turkish Delights. Recently I saw on my phone news about the candy department that they recently put in. It is out of this 🌏 ! Have you been able to visit it ? And by visit I mean buy out the shoppe !! I am so JEALOUS of the fab Butler’s Candies ! l am so SORRY about your poor MUM !! Horrible !! Prayers and blessings from California. 🌸🌼🌻🌹🦔
This box was incredible. Such an amazing selection. Oh yes maybe!! Some very fancy packaging!! We haven’t visited Harrod’s recently but always loved the sweet shop section. Need to go and see the new candy department 😍🍬🍭 Thank you so much Mary 😘🌸💕
