Yeah I’m picking one up. These are going to be big money in the not too distant future. Garage is currently supercharged E46 M3, C7.5 S6 with ecu tune and oriental red 500SL. It’s the perfect daily, even w CA gas prices

LC500 is a masterpiece from Lexus as well.

@@speedracerjeff Umm.. it's not like the engine in the IS500 is a new one. It has existed since 2014, at least in its current setup. The block itself is even older dating to 2007.

The is500 is more of a gentleman car. I would love to own one, but not for that price haha

Low end torque do American V8s is unbeatable

Not true, Lexus goes 500k without much maintenance. 200k is barely breaking in.

@pnwmv I didn't mention anything about Lexus/Toyota products not being able to go high miles, just pointing out that even a Coyote motor can as well. Toyota has always made cars that last, cause they actually care I guess. We will see if the most modern stuff hold true to that.

@@pnwmvold Toyotas sure could go a long time, but modern ones aren’t a whole lot better than anything else. I’m a mechanic, and today I got to work on a 2018 RAV4 it had 62k miles on it. The wiper motor was fried, had a huge engine oil leak from the sending unit, and the catalytic converter failed causing a rattling noise and check engine light. This is not an isolated incident I have been working on way more Toyotas than we used to.

It is, probably the best Japanese muscle car to-date. Will last until the end of time

Doubt that… supercharge a 2015-2017 automatic 5.0 and the transmission will grenade if it’s 670HP

@@DiaperSNiFFER you just don’t know the platform. I own a 17 making 700+ HP. Car gets beat and begs for more. The 6R80 auto trans is VERY robust. The manual MT82 doesn’t have as good a rep but the problems online are way overblown. Mine is a manual. Zero problems.

@@DiaperSNiFFERI never use my back seats for ppl in my 08 is 350. It’s literally a punishment to throw someone back there. Wish they extended the wheelbase a lil bit more like they did with the 3 series and c class to allow acceptable rear seat leg room and head room. Reliability will always be king with these cars however!

@@SouthsideKidd550I mean I own and daily an IS200t. I wouldn’t call the interior objectively dated but more so “comparatively”. All of the other competitors have nicer interiors. Plus, the IS line has had the exact same interior for all of their cars since **2016** So yeah not literally dated but when you take into account they haven’t changed the interior in 8 years it kinda gives that feeling. It DEFINITELY does not give you a “new car” feeling if you’ve owned one like me. And I’m in love with the IS500 so I’m not hating. Just explaining that people saying it’s old is very valid If you’ve driven in Lexus IS that’s 2016+ you’ve driven all of them in terms of interior lol. That’s why I can imagine so much how it would feel to drive one because it literally would be identical to my car now just way louder and more enjoyable 🤣 (again, remeber I daily one so I know what I’m talking about lol)

A twin turbo V8 is on the way. Rumor has it will be here in 2025. The only problem is that it will be really expensive. 😂

​@brother_lee A TTV8 in the LFA successor (called "LFR"). Already been tested and seen on track. Now if they do make a new ISF, it might get the same TTV8 but de-tuned.

@@yousef.al-assaf It's possible but the rumors I've heard is that the new ISF will either have the TTV6 with Hybrid or be an EV. Unless there is a new leak, the new ISF won't have a V8 sadly.

Easily. I've had 93 cars in my life and about a quarter of them have been Ford's. And two-thirds of those have been a V8. Another than typical wear things like a battery or tires, they were near bulletproof reliable. If you take care of a car it'll look after you and Ford is no exception.

Well since Lexus doesnt put any technology or innovation in their cars, its easy to be reliable All they have are hard plastics, leather seats and 15 year old tech If Mercedes or BMW did this they would be reliable as well

You need to be at 0 elevation. Also over pump your front tires. If your engine is all clean and tuned up on a prepped surface you can easily crack into 13s and trap 100

Have to remember they are running at a very high altitude which dramatically slows the cars down up there. Down here at Zmax they'd both be right at high 12's.

For instance my 98' Lexus LS400 has one of the greatest V8s ever made but you never here no one taking about putting a 1UZ-FE into a Chevy or a Ford.

The torque converter also locks in auto if you go full throttle. But you're right about it being faster in manual because you can shift at redline in manual.

The LS 500 has a turbo 6...the IS 500 has the NA 8.

After dealing with the recall bs in the first few years, Fords tend to be extremely reliable long term.

I have an 06 GT and it’s perfectly fine, no issues.

2014 ISF has less power but is lighter. The ISF and the IS500 both runs 12.7 so the out come would be the same.

Lexus is a heavier car and a true 4 adult hauler, mustang is a 2adult+2small children car
