One of your best hauls yet Jim. You so deserve it. I'm so glad that I got back into comics in 2018 after a several year hiatus from my childhood. I did start collecting again a little around 2005 or so. I am like you in that I want those books that I collected back then.
@@ImproveCollectingComics I was kinda thinking you talking through the process of the buying, pressing, grading then the breakdown of the costs and ROI. I know I would find it interesting but it may not be for everyone
Great job man .. the legend continues … Serious question , do you ever get any waviness or flaring after press ? Especially to top cover Any tips for avoiding ? Temp , time etc .. This is after steaming lightly if needed ..etc
Thanks! I used to get flaring. The fix was less pressure. If you see staple marks on the magazine boards, it's too much. Another cause could also be too much heat, so never go above 165. I now press at 150 on copper and newer, 155 on bronze and older. Let me know if that is the issue, if it seems to be something else I'll help you troubleshoot it.
Yes, watching your reactions getting 9.8s is almost like an orgasm. Come on, you really don't need to do pre-screens as you are one of the best in the biz. I still haven't done a pre screen. I'm still curious if doing so would help get more 9.8s as there is a level of $$ incentive for CGC to make it happen. I actually just got done a half hour ago with a 25 block heading to CGC! Oh, I had to hold back a Nam 1 newsstand as it needs another press at least.
@@ImproveCollectingComics thanks! I’ve been a long time eBay seller and these fees are ridiculous. How does selling on IG work? You post and the buyer pays with Venmo and sends their address?
