The Jetzons keyboardist was Brad Buxer, who was also Michael Jackson's music director who had a hand in Sonic 3/S&K after MJ left the project. Their song was clearly repurposed by for Icecap. Their primary claim to fame at this point probably IS that digital rehash. Perfect and poetic. They're pandering to an audience that they may not have had otherwise.

In terms of the Jetzons, that cover and the "Sonic blue" vinyl was released in 2020. So it's almost definitely a tribute to Sonic since the discovery was made before that print. A lot of people seem to think that Jetzons track was originally made after Sonic 3, which isn’t the case.

As for The Jetzons record, since the song _was_ used in Sonic 3 and one of the composers from the band helped on music for that game, it could be very possible that they got the rights to use the game art or even got Sega's blessing to use it for the vinyl art.

There's a fruit company in Mexico that uses various anime/VG characters on their products. I remember having this box that was specifically for bananas and it had this cowgirl-esche character which honestly may be of their own- But I also had another box with Final Fantasy characters (mostly sprites) on it. It was actually surprisingly well put together and kinda charmingly quirky- but I haven't been able to find the company and this was more than a year ago.

Well this is nothing new because I regularly see character statues like kfc, Ronald McDonald, and sonic in a church
