Just because a company markets their first aid kit as having a lot of parts and pieces doesn't mean those parts are pieces are useful. Here we break down a contractor's first aid kit that we got from Amazon to talk about what's stocked inside and what you should have on a construction site.

I hate spending money just like everyone else but this is an excellent example of you get what you pay for… However, this channel has a lot of free training here on RU-vid. Knowing what to do and having the correct tools when it really matters is priceless.

Completely agree. I like to shop sales, buy used items, etc but not when it comes to medical gear. Just buy the right thing and don’t cut corners. And you’re right that you have to have the skills and know how to use them as well. And we are trying to make that information free so people shouldn’t have excuses for not knowing. Stay safe out there!

Thanks! Yeah, building your own is typically the most economical option. But if you want something ready to go, at least make sure it’s a solid kit and has at least one real tourniquet in it.

My personal Jobsite FirstAid-Kit: Tourniquet, because of using circular saw, angle grinder, ... OLAES Bandage with duct tape to assist one Hand opening Eye wash And for all other injuries I can get to another, normal FirstAid-Kit :-) In my own kit there are: Good tweezers Instant cold packs Antiseptic Good band aids Non sticking 4by4 (about 10) Bigger Trauma Pad Self adhesive tape Emergency blanket

Awesome! Well thought out. Gotta have severe bleeding control supplies on a job site. That’s a given. 👍🏼

Buy one kit to appease the bureaucracy, but build a practical kit specific to your workplace

Yup. That’s what you have to do unfortunately.

Great video 👌 definitely a big difference in the bandaid box vs a well equipped medical kit when dealing with a critical injury.

Absolutely! And unfortunately, most people just see the price tag and don't investiagte further.

Ductape is band-aid

Yes, I'd have to agree that sometimes it ends up taking on that role. Electrical tape as well.
