at 1:27, that is my close friend's artwork, i have only known them for almost 3 years now and just watching their art just getting more and more better makes me think that i could also do this some day but i just love admiring their art so much
when i was in my teens, i showed my bro an artist improvement thing from one of my fave artists, and he was like "well yeah, duh, of course they got better over the years". But it took WORK. They didn't just get better because time passed. I'm proud of all you other artists out there for putting in all that work!!!

As an artist, I don’t like calling myself on even though I do draw and as much as I see people improve over a year or 2. I started Art when I was 8 or 9 (13 now) and I’m so mad becuase it always feels like my art style is getting worse. But then I remebered Some art channels that I wanted to watch to improve and YOU YES YOU SAM you helped my digital art get better. I still need to work on style, but I’m working on coloring and rendering stuff.

9:16 this is my friends art progress through the years What I love about it is that back in 2020 she used to look up to me a lot, but then one month she had this crazy art burst and she started drawing anime characters VERY well and I was very impressed. Now these days she has moved to bigger platforms with better art tools. I’m still in awe of how much her art style has grown through the years.
I've had times where I didn't draw for weeks and when I started drawing again my stuff looked way better than before. I was told that actively observing stuff when ur not drawing can also improve ur skill bc u have better understanding of how things look. Nothing to do with the video but I though it would be interesting to share.

I started to draw in 2020, i started drawing thanks to my boredom in school lol. Then it started to be fun for me and started to draw more and more and i improved very much!
My last piece was an art vs artist piece in December, and I haven't drawn since. I want to, but I gravitated towards building an etsy shop and other graphic design stuff. I need the time and motivation to work on the fantasy landscapes and get back to drawing. 🙂

This video feels like fate. I just got a tablet yesterday and was totally lost on where to start and how its gonna go hereon. I spent today coloring on it so I could get used to it. But still had no idea where I should go and then boom, this video came up randomly. I hadn't heard of him till now and he got me more motivated than anyone ever did. Thanks man. ❤😄
A year ago, I didn't draw wrinkles in clothing, used only the airbrush tool to shade, only drawing with a bad anime art style, and the line tool. Now, I've been drawing every day, trying to finish a piece every week, and I've completely changed my style. My lighting has drastically improved, I use a variety of oil paint brushes in my shading, and I've gained much needed confidence to draw harder things, (Angles, lighting senarios, ext.)
Been extremely depressed lately, haven't had motivation to do anything I actually want to. All I've been wanting is to practice drawing, I know what I want to do but haven't had the energy to do it. This video made me happy, I think I'll give it a try while my mood is lifted. Thank you
As a new artist who has only started about a month or two ago making improvements has been hard mostly because idk what I want my style to be and I have no clue what I wanna draw. But I need to remember that if I find what I want and really try to polish my art I will get better, even if I am stubborn and want to improve immediately I know I need to take my time and be patient with it.
I literally injured my hand and now i am very motivated to draw but i can't even hold a pencil properly without shaking. I am practically dying rn. (when i can draw an art block will hit)😭
I wish I could turn back time to 2020 and make myself start drawing then so I could've improved to now since that's what a lot of people were doing & since we had the most "free" time due to covid- Y'all are amazing.

Whenever I feel like my art isn’t looking right or good I just think about how much better I am than I was 1-3 years ago, and how much better my illustrations will be 1-3 years in the future.
