I was adopted at birth. And I was able to meet my birth Father before he passed. I told him I had no animosity, and thanked him for allowing me to have a second chance. But my adopted Father will always be my Father. My adopted Father just passed away two weeks ago. So I wanted you to know how things went for me. The one who raised me, loved me, is the one I am loyal to. God bless you for loving your adopted child as your own.

I always felt being adopted was an advantage as there was never any doubt that I was wanted. Mom always told me I was chosen as I was special, even took me out to "adopt" a doll when I was 2 so I had an understanding of what adoption was all about. Had a much closer bond with my parents than my friends did with theirs. Dad was always out in the neighbourhood playing with all us kids and Mom was the one my friends turned to with their problems as she was such a warm person. I definitely lucked out in the parenting department. Yet there were other adopted kids who didn't fare as well plus a ton of non-adopted kids who had miserable home lives. It's just the luck of the draw, being adopted has nothing to do with it.

BratBusters Parenting I think if they continuously thought about you and you really saw in their eyes that they loved you even though they couldn't take care of you. It might stur up some feelings. But right now their image less strangers so it'd be hard to feel something

As an adoptee i get that on a real level. I feel no connection to my biological mother (it was an in family adoption) and I've never seen her as my mother no matter how hard she tried to be one as i grew up. I feel no connection to my biological dad because he was never in the picture, just some guy who gave a fake name and stayed until he found out. I kind of very lowkey want to know who he is and what he does and why he left and you know sort of understand like why wasn't my biological mother enough and why did he never want to meet me but at the same time it's literally like a sperm donor like cool I'm here what up no idea if that makes any sense but to me it does.

Many of my friends that are adopted found their birth family after doing dna testing at Ancestry. They are always running a special....half my family has done it.

There could be any number of reasons … they may have been too young and not able to give her a good life. In my case, my bio mom was separated from her husband and got pregnant. They reconciled and decided that because I wasn’t his, she put me up for adoption. They ended up divorcing and she remarried. I have 4 older siblings and 2 younger. I met them all when I was 35. We all have a great relationship. I look more like her than my 2 sisters do.

I just watched the whole episode, they both dated in high school and got pregnant with the her, they broke up, and gave her up for adoption, and then later on met up again, they said the loss of giving her up made themselves fall in love again
