Haven’t watched the video yet but I wanted to thank you Graeme. If I hadn’t learnt about the head lifting thing from you then I would have missed my dogs bone cancer for weeks, but we found it before he starting hopping. So thank you

What head lifting thing? Can you drop a link to the video where he talks about it if it's too long to explain? I'm new to this channel.

I am so relieved to read that. We had no idea that our last girl had anything wrong. No nodding head or limping until one morning when she pulled up on her walk and had to limp home. We thought she'd pulled a muscle, or got a stress fracture - she was a greyhound. They're either the world's biggest babies or totally stoic. We hadn't a clue that one of our old boys had kidney stones until he literally screamed like a human on passing one! Needless to say, like with our girl, he went straight to the vet. But in her case it was too late. Though she outlived the vet's prognosis of two weeks tops (I said she showed no pain until that day; I really meant it!). I didn't get "the look" for over 2 months. She was on good medication. Though I still - after 5½ years - feel guilty for not spotting it earlier. She'd had the mildest limp about 6 months earlier which didn't last a morning. That _might_ have been when it started but after that, nothing. It didn't even look as bad as a mildly tweaked muscle. I'm *_very_* glad you didn't have to go through that guilt. I hope that whatever it is you have chosen or been forced to do, it has been with the knowledge that you do it with love that your dog really understands. They _know_ we love them, I have no doubt. If not, they wouldn't trust us the way they do. And they give back every ounce of love they get and more. I shan't probe for details, but I am sending you my love and empathy because by god I know what you are/have been going through. ❤

As someone with arthritis in her feet, I think I have a clue what she might be going through, especially when it really flares up in the cold or hot weather. It makes my feet swell too. I'll bet she's incredibly grateful in her own way, because if anyone could stop my pain in a few minutes, I'd love them for life!

Bless I bet she's so grateful you come in today, people don't realise but animals show us so many subtle hints of pain before they show symptoms like limping after all limping like she was is a signal to predators that she is weaker than others in the herd the last thing a prey animal wants especially when in pain. Thanks for all your awesome work, hope the weather doesn't get too bad for you all in Scotland 🤞

Thank you for replacing my rage with the calm that is "The Hoof GP". And thank you from the cow now more comfortable due to your ministrations. Merry Christmas to the whole herd of you for bringing "pleasant and wholesome" to a whole lot of us who don't get to experience that much these days. I live alone, still rurally, my only external contact the internet - a pretty bleak and mostly ugly scenario. So, coming from a horsey background I can connect with your care for an animal's feet. You cheery demeanour and obvious concern for animal welfare and comfort brings me hope in this dark Worldwide self-centered spiral into goodness knows what... Just glad I'm a childless OAP. I've a couple questions for you. First some background, here in the USA, we milk 365 days a year. I talked with a dairyman in Irelad, and he said they dry off all their cattle of durung the winter and then start back milking in the spring after their cows delivered their offspring. How do the Scottish dairymen manage their cattle? Do the milk 365 like the US, or do they manage their cattle like the Irish? Merry Christmas, Happy New Year, and thanks for taking the time to answer my questions! 😊
