I sailed on RC's Allure of the Seas to the Mediterranean in 2019. It was my first cruise (and only one to date) and my first time south of New York. It was fantastic. We went to a different show every night, from a musical, to a comedy show, to an ice show, to a high dive performance. I loved every minute of it. I went on 2 excursions. The first was a tour of the harbour around Nassau in a glass-bottomed boat. The second was a tour of the Incan ruins at Chacchoben followed by a traditional meal at a home in the local village. Both were very enjoyable. And the food was amazing. We booked the cruise through Expedia at East Point and they made it all very easy.

That’s was a massive cruise ship!!! I love seeing them back in the city 🎉 It’s so great for the local businesses and exciting to see so many people uptown Saint John 🤩

We were on this ship in2019. It was fantastic. There is so much room it doesn’t feel crowded. On it is a skating rink for ice shows, rock climbing wall, zip line, basket ball courts. Many bars to go to in the evening like jazz bar, sports bar Karaoke bar, comedy club to list a few. A casino when you’re in international waters. A large theatre. The entertainment is 5star. There is also Central Park in the middle of the ship. I forget how many live trees and plants. The cost for a couple for the week is approximately $3200. Plus the cost of getting to Cape Canaveral in Florida.

That cruiseship is certainly impressive. Being on a cruiseship unfortunately makes me sick. During a Mediterranean/Canary Islands cruise in 2015 on the second largest ship in the world, I had to checkout and disembark (with my suitcase and all) a few days in. Even days later, after being on solid ground, I still had a wobbly/swishing sensation in my head/body.

Might try it someday...but 8000 people, no thanks...something smaller maybe, like a Viking cruise down a river in Europe. That boat is insane, lol.

It's not Saint John! It's called San Juan!!! Oasis class ships exist for more than 10 years.

Never been, but I have heard people live on them full time, cheaper than rent or mortgages. Gotta have the right job and lifestyle I suppose.

Cruise ships are great for the local economy but not for me I would rather canoe down the river. Thanks
