Lester, you have been thinking about JLR and having a house there, and LHL'S is so beautiful, I can't even imagine having to pick one place over the other. The pictures of the drought are so sad. You need to take the sage, light it, and wave it all around the spooky part of LHL'S. It is supposed to cleanse the bad spirits away.
You know I’ve been watching you for quite a few years now and how you have addressed issues with the sanctuary property with longhorn Lesters and with the J&L Ranch You have become very knowledgable ( or knowledgeable, butWe didn’t know about it.) about proper land management. Anybody that owns a piece of earth under their own name would do well to respect it and learn about it, and work with it. You can’t change mother nature, but you can change how mother nature and your land works together I am so impressed with your videos on land management. You’re doing such a good job with three wonderful pieces of property. A Legacy your family will always have .

Lester, I know it’s incredibly frustrating to pore blood, sweat, tears and money into a property that just keeps on reminding you and us all that Mother Nature is in charge. You’re such a hard worker that doesn’t mind rolling up your sleeves and getting it done. But it must be hard to keep doing and redoing the same work without feeling defeated. It really is such a gorgeous property and I know that’s why you keep trying your best. Prayers all the pond reconfiguration works this time. Also praying the grass takes hold and grows nice and thick.
I think it’s great you’re making the land healthy and healing it. It’s sad that we have to and it’s crazy the SEVERE weather and conditions that you’re experiencing but That’s who you and Jami are as people too. Nurtures, Healers .. You add sustenance

Lester, this is looking better and better! I’m sorry it has been so trying. I see an opportunity for Jami to use her gardening skills to make it a real place of beauty with safe plants and flowers …maybe just red clover….along those rocky edges . I also can envision a beautiful wooden bridge crossing over that rocky river so that humans and animals could continue to travel around the pond. Lester, you always make things gooder and better 😊 ❣️
Lester, I was thinking you could build a pretty little wooden bridge over the dry rock bed for animals and wheels. Then my husband, Fred, suggested to name it the RAINBOW bridge!

Have always loved this property for the peacefulness, the scenery that you could see and all the animals that were/are there getting the attention and their best lives with you both. Seeing the end of the troubling pond erosion would be another milestone for sure. The huge rocks and pattern hopefully will slow the runoff to a more manageable pace that this will end the need for repairs. Now once the grass has grown and the gentle rains make it a yearly occurrence then we can celebrate all together. Thank you for sharing and see you on the next video.

Lester for a good laugh view ginger Billy. Farm life is a crap shoot, lived on a dairy farm all my life and you were always at the mercy of the elements. Can remember my dad coming in after a late nite, talking with my mom and breaking down crying, but we all stuck together and worked everything out.. stay strong.
You are certainly right Longhorn Lester is a beautiful property. I fell in love with it the first time I saw it. To be honest you faced The Good The Bad and The Ugly. But it's worth every sweat and tear you put into this property. It's hard to find beauty like this. Hoping and praying this will work. How many babies were here during the flood. How many goats were here during the drought and LongHorn's. Longhorn Lester's is it safe and beautiful. Sanctuary for all the babies.
The property looks so beautiful, especially the pond area. It is such a contrast to last year's pictures. Hopefully, the rain will help to make the sod and the hydroseeding activate enough growth to hold all of your soil in place. I am so happy for you and Jami. No worries... The horses & donkeys will carefully hunt, find, and make a cut of their own pathway meandering around the rocky gorge. This is looking like it'll work great ❤️👍❤️
I know you have had to spend so much trying to keep the pond from overflowing and causing so much damage. I do hope all the work that you have done will help the grass to grow and restore LHL back to the beautiful place it was. Plus, I hope Jami will be able to bring the horses back. Beautiful! Look at that pond! It's so pretty. You should get those fish that "clean" your feet. I went an aquarium that had those tiny fish and got to experience it. Their little mouths felt like vibrations on my hand. Yes, the horses and "ponys" can get a pedicure with each pond visit 😄. Anyway, love how the erosion control is coming. Not only should it work but enhances the beauty of the "longhorn lester ranch." Can't wait the horses and donkeys to return. Glad God has given y'all rain; those past two years were awful.
This property has come a long way since you purchased it. It looks amazing now, so l can’t wait to see what it will look like when the grass grows.
