This deck is crazy. What RU-vid viewers didn't see was just how many people would quit or lose in under 3 mins. About 35 matches were under the 5 minute mark.

hi joey, i've made a sligtly different version of your deck. And I've wrecked all!! I've came across your deck and even with 2 deputies and 2 mirror images it could not stop me. My deck list is as follows: 4x ajani's welcome, 4x ajani's pridemate, 3x one with the wind, 3x kitesail freebooter, 2x reassembling skeleton, 4x lavinia, 3x call to the feast, 1x kaya's wrath, 1x etrata the silencer, 4x resplendent angel, 4x deputy of detention, 2x hostage taker, 6x plains, 6x islands, 6x swamps, 1x glacial fortress, 1x hallowed fountain, 2x meandering river, 2x godless shrine, 1x drowned catacomb......have fun!!!!

That was a very risky gamble. As a rule of thumb, one should never *ever* mulligan to lower than 5 cards (at least with the old mulligan rules that were used at the time)!

I ran into red, black and green decks, and all of them had Lavinia added to the deck. At least half of my opponents last night and this morning had her.and Deputy of Detention.

This deck is similar to my build of the same type also scored 8+ 5 win zones. The difference is I use mox amber so first turn ajani welcome plays it and your ramped on turn 2 with lavinia. Also I use 4 life gain draw a card instant and baffling end none of the solid blue cards.and 4 bindings. I didn't get to play you what a shame. No loxodons only Lyras. Lost 1 game had a hand of multi cards and hit no blue mana the whole game.

Yep, beat the Mox Amber version during the 40-0 run. They even had Lavinia out first. I think that's in this video.

I made this deck. it's ridiculous. I only lost to mana issues, and a WOTC account playing a very unique, very strong UW deck. craziest game I've played. At one point we were both over 100 life. At least 10 cleansing nova were cast... The recurring surge mares eventually won it... wish I had a video of it.

I've been running flying enchantment cards to get the Pridemates off the ground and over a lot of blockers at least, but the Herald card is way better. Nice build. I like your mad scientist approach to it.

Is there something I am missing in Lavinia's first ability, because it says "Each opponent can't cast noncreature spells with converted mana cost greater than the number of lands that player controls." since when can you cast something that costs more than the number of lands you have? So I don't really understand how this ability works. could someone please explain this to me?thanks

I wanted to build this deck, but only had one Lavinia and no Deputies. I went Orzhov using most all of your white cards along with Mortify and Epicure of Blood as my splash of black. Won 25-30 games and lost 6-7 - losing to your Lavinia style deck every single time. I ended up earning 2 Lavinias from my wins and tried your deck without any Deputies...it didn't work.

I played 4-color control, sans-blue (cause I like control without blue). I thought that it would be terrible, but I actually did pretty well. I just cascaded removal into more removal. I also played F&S, which didn’t do as well, but it was alright.

I've been playing my own version of this and i just reached mythic rank..... I use ajani and teferi plansewalkers as well as a few other surprises for people. I've obliterated all but the gate deck which is completely dependent on what they have in it

the only reason i do not scoop on matches, is to see how decks are running. unless they are running counter, or mill decks..then i will scoop out...even if i am going to win in some cases, because i hate those kind of decks.

Hello there. I just recently started following you. I just recently also started playing magic maybe like 2 months ago I got hooked right away. Lavinia counters cards that are cast without paying Mana and Cascade is an effect that reveals cards until it finds a lower CMC than the card that was cast. That lower CMC is cast for free and so Lavinia stops that. It's really good in this format because it hoses the entire thing and makes it so only the player with Lavinia gets any card advantage.

The deck is built to abuse the cascade mechanic. It wont work well enough in standard. If you like the deputy of detention though, wet weenies is a good deck to look at

I remember in one of you videos you said there are people who don't like you the only reason I can think of is you take small niche cards and you throw them into a game winning combo. Love what you do stay creative.
