Your best start off a single Engage going first is Drones to set up Kagari, then add back Engage to set up Multirole, this lets you add a Widow Anchor or Eagle Booster to activate onto Shizuku after its add(make sure trigger toggle is ON), and set it back with Multirole(Shark Cannon on a hand trap someone chucked to GY is also an option here if you want more disruption variety, and you can even Linkage into Hayate if you have Eagle Booster to get more dumps if the opponent dares to attack you). You can do more than that depending on your hand and what I mention below are just some common options. If you already have the Multirole you can add the field spell to try to trade a dead board breaker for a Sky Striker card then pop it to get a Raye from deck, and if you opened the field spell too you can add a Raye to Tribute to try for a free scry(Eagle Booster and Linkage also allow you to dodge the targeted send it does if a target is found). Cyanos can be special summoned as an extender if you have a lot of dead spells and sitting on Camellia, Amblowhale(Link 4 you can go into under Machine Lock) or Azalea Temperance is usually safe if you can put up an Eagle Booster(and their float effects are useful when the only way to get rid of them is Battle). Also one funny use I found for Engage Zero is going into it if someone tries to Talents your Raye since it can't be used as Link Material, so they can't do as much with it as other things. That actually came up in a recent Striker Mirror where I went first and they used Talents after my Raye float to try to Link climb. Thankfully I had Multirole up so I could get it off the field when it came back without crashing into something. This is a good time to bring up how you're almost never going into this for the board wipe unless you're under Skill Drain and have Droplet to get this off the field during the damage step, it's mainly there to be a Light monster for Linkage setup(you can go into this instead of dumping Roze with Hayate if you used it/them all, or Roze is stuck in your hand or banished without a Cyanos in GY to bring it back with).
You have a TON of royals for this deck lol, I have royal Kagari that's like one of my prized possession xD EDIT: Also, the Shizuku shuffle is when you search Widow anchor and use Anchor on Shizuku herself, to then set that same widow anchor by Multirole effect. (for anyone new to this deck)
I’m always so tempted to play Sky Striker. It seems similar in concept to Runick, but I’m always worried I won’t enjoy playing it since it doesn’t play as well with other archetypes.
I think Kaiser Coloseum would be a good card in this deck, you always end whit only 1 monster in field, so unles they get to destroy kaiser or your skystriker monster by effect first, they would have to go directly to the battle fase to get your monster out by battle after summoning one time
I want to build SS because the free packs gave me royal Engage Zero and Engage but the rest of the deck is just so expensive 😭 2 more Engage, 3 Linkage, and 3 Kagaris are just too much. I was wondering is it possible to run only 1 of each UR? The consistency and GY recursion is going to tank to hell, so is there any other engine I can add to make it bearable? I've seen Runick SS variant where they just spam spell cards until the enemy is reduced to one card per turn and then take their sweet time to plink the LP.
The new cards allow for some REALLY complicated engines as options, both with it as the main engine and as a side engine. I've tried out a "going first" build with some Trap options designed for being able to sit on Camellia if you get hand trapped, mostly searched as Thrust options(fiddling with stuff like DDKC and Trap Tracks to float it and Simul Archfiends and Warning Point to keep opponents from using it against you until it comes back), and that's been decent. Though I also want to try out a Bystial package(since Cyanos can recover a banished Roze for easy Link Climbing and potential Chaos Angel shenanigans when Etude is up), Snake-Eye(this one is known) and even Rescue-ACE(this one is less known and can lead to some nifty Aurorodon and Machine Link plays) as separate build options, and once the new Infernoid support gets added that'll also be able to do some neat things.
