This is part of the WEIRD problem with social studies, only much more so because a lot of the university students taking these sorts of studies are often in a class studying relevent to the study.

Ah, yes. Because "give your number to someone attending the same college as you" is obviously the same as "cheat on your partner." 🙄

Right? Oof. That’s a messed up conclusion even if we don’t bother to mention ethical non-monogamy. But of course, we should, if we actually want to look at “cheating”. 🙄

@@DavidLindes Even if we don't get into the discussion of ethical non-monogamy, there are plenty of reasons you might give your number to someone attending the same college as you who just happens to be a member of a different gender. This isn't the 1800s anymore; people are allowed to have friends of ALL genders without causing a scandal!
