some (that ive seen from other yters and friends talking about) servers use this if any child gets in, theyll know whos -18 and can ban them easily, making moderating the server better, though yes some can just lie and such aha
@@coobk I was in a political discussion discord before that had that. If you selected that you were a minor during onboarding you would get instantly banned.

Ntts is 30+ years old while i just turned 18 three months ago, and he got people to join my server and attack me (keep in mind that our moderation system is really strict and anything serious or related to “pedophilia” is an instant ban, so the way he spread so many lies is sick) but i guess he has to pay the rent somehow 🤷♀️

@@herrforesight-Satanisking i think its because being gay during teenage years can be an isolating experience especially when seeing those who are straight who are having romantic experiences. this would then lead to finding different sources of romance to going on discord servers and possibly being a victim.

I keep finding servers on disboard that say "Dating 18+' with age roles that has the youngest age at 13 and the oldest at 21. It claims that you have to leave if your older than 21, the thing is the owner is apparently 32.
Anyone that asks people to police themselves should be ready for the consequences. Sadly there don't see to be any consequences for this sort of thing the way Discord operates.

Number 1 tip is to avoid public servers at any cost, cause there's always these type of people. I only ever befriend mutual friends so they're guaranteed to be my age and not catfishers
@@jsnake_ Actually i were in a +18 server where u need verification to get in. A bot got hacked and then a bot sent 3 CP discord servers to everyone in the server. Also the last time i joined another +18 server
had this video on in the background and my name is Sylvester. Hearing something bad about someone called "SYLVEtte" triggered my fight or flight response like nothing else in a good while
As someone who was a minor and was on these servers in 2022. I can say that this was the most traumatizing experience of my life. Not only are the servers promoting bad body image issues they also cyberbully tf outta of u if u dont treat them like royalty. Idk the mods are usually pedos or predators from my experience. I evaded one of the mods advances and was told i was too young to be in the server and got banned...when another one of their mods was 15 but that was okay bc they liked him..before i wanted their validation and wondered why they were so mean to me...now im thankful im no longer apart of the wrong side of history. There are so many kids younger than me in those servers and that terrifies me. I pray discord finnaly hears our complaints and erases servers like these
@@wilsonwilson7607 yes, I only used discord during covid lockdowns for school as teachers shared their classes there. I have no idea what people do on discord otherwise. The only thing cool about it is its architecture for me as a software engineer.

The sooner No Text To Speech retires (from discord, even though this guy saves many people on discord) the less I will worry about him, I feel like the mental isn’t all as it seems sometimes, I just hope NTTS will be alright cause discord is mentally straining. I sometimes feel that too, coming across these servers daily, weekly and monthly the sheer disappointment discord brings can certainly cause a man to have some mental stress, this isn’t good for discord at all, nor those who stumble across these horrible people and servers.

I was in one of these servers, and since then i’ve stopped and devoted my life to writing and gaming and loving my family. I’m 3 months clean and im still going strong. (Im the name in 16:13 the one with the heart) I’m not saying these servers are good, they are horrendous and even not addressing the issues with the presence of minors. The way I see this is basically a clear message to all boys and men to not join these servers. While yes porn is somewhat exciting it can severely damage your brain. That’s what it did to mine and I’m looking to change that for good. And finally, please be nice, don’t harass, yes what I did was horrendously stupid but I have since then changed. The owners of the server are talking about your video and calling you weird; the fact this server is still up is disturbing. I joined and instantly saw CP as well I think you should definitely recover this server in another video
13:33 you can hear how disappointed NTTS is on how far things have come on discord, I've been watching NTTS for awhile for updates and Discord related videos but seriously these servers and communities are getting out of hand, I full on agree with NTTS when he said "This is disgusting man"
Ive been in the server called hunks, they have 13 year olds asking for 18 and up individuals to dm them to do whatever they do. mods are narcissistic, allow cp, and so much more. so happy this finally got noticed 😭😭😭
One clever thing I’ve seen a server implement that’s 18+ is when you choose your role if it’s below 18 you’re locked from all channels and are put in a channel that says that you have to be 18+ and you can’t change your role back from that point so you’re permanently locked out and I’m all for that
its strange seeing all this stuff from an old man's perspective because I understand all of this I just didn't realize how weird it would be for an outsider to see 😭
