Shadow of the Erdtree has new weapons! And one new weapon type has a special ash of war that has a unique property! Ranni explains you about the Dryleaf Arts' Palm Blast and how BROKEN it can be!
Not fully royal guard. Royal guard was instant and blocked EVERYTHING no matter what. This can get chipped through by some attack that hit around you and some big attacks still yeet you away
@@kurokamireaper3761 He doesn't die, he leaves behind a message for you after the duel telling you to not get complacent and continue to hone your skills.
My main weapon, and I've been testing it against Malenia along with the Dryleaf Whirlwind. Both do amazingly against her, but Palm Blast knocks her off her feet completely.
@@billythenarwhal1579 Yeah, that's my first thought whenever anyone focuses on hyperarmoring through enemy attacks. "Cool, so that way I'll die standing up then. PROBLEMS SOLVED." Seriously though, if you're all about the PvP then sure, hyperarmor facetanking makes sense, your only objective there is to not be dead after exactly one fight. Anything close to longterm endurance is completely irrelevant. But for PvE, especially general use, lots of common enemies in a row PvE, not so much. You'll just get your health and flasks worn down, even if you never get knocked down. Hyperarmor facetanking bosses specifically make a little more sense, but even then the raw damage output of the actually difficult bosses doesn't really allow for facetanking all that much. Point is, hyperarmor isn't bad, but making it easier to not get hit in the first place is what I'd actually get excited about.
@@AlloveckI see your point and mostly agree. But face tanking enemies/bosses is not sooo bad as you make it sound. Is it effective? Not really. Does it work? Yeah pretty well (for the most part). Just my personal experience with the Rakshasa great katana.
I tried it and I did 6 thousand damage on enemies without armor and it did not break my animation when I got hit while I was charging it like you said!!! It kicks ass!!!💪❤👍
Fun fact, the Palm Blast can go thru walls about 2 players thick-ish, with the knock back of it. You could simply push enemies and players off ledges and maybe catch them off guard behind corners or doorways. I use Shard of Alexander and Godfrey Icon
These with rotten wing, Millicents pros, shard of Alexander and the Godfrey’s charge attack talisman is absolutely bonkers, that or the light weight gives you extra damage talismans for a high risk high reward build
The only way I beat the golden hippo in shadow keep was by blowing said load all over its backside. Because while the hippo cannot stop you from charging. It can still move you around. LOL
Everyone has been on the whirlwind aow, while I seen this the first time I tried the palm blast and have been spamming ever since. If you time it right you can push a boss out of an attack
I missed pretty much every dlc npc questline besides Ymir. Explored without any guides until I burned down some little twig tree, then apparently all the npcs hated that. I know it's just fromsoft style to progress quest lines upon certain event completion, but now I have to do another 40 hour run to try and experience that part of the game...
My main weapon, until the final boss, was the dryleaf arts. I killed nearly every boss with just the dryleaf arts and smithscript spear. I stategy was to stagger a boss with fully charged heavy attacks, then riposte with the smithscript spear.
