Certainly a well made bike, looking at the welds. Definitely made for the range sensitive with the extra batteries and all, and another easy mount and dismount. Not even a fender to impede throwing a leg over. Thanks again Matt!
I'd still have range anxiety lol, I ride 15 miles every day to work and back and have half battery running full throttle 2000w on a 20ah battery, yet I'm still finding myself feathering the power because I'm worried about range all the time, even tho I don't need to 🤣. I'd need like 3kwh of capacity to not have that anxiety and I've only got 1kwh battery.
It would be nice of you to tell us if this batteries are UL2849 rated. As 2024 you it's Illegal to charge batteries that are not UL2849 rated at a rental apartment in CALIFORNIA . Thanks.
@@mikec4308 That's a lot more reasonable price. The extra battery is $500 extra, for a total of $2150. Your statement about the quality of the Wired Freedom does not hold water. I have yet to see a bad review. The Ecells bike is even better at a similar price. That being said, both bikes probably top out at 30 miles range. It's worth the extra $150 if you want range over power in a bike that's more likely to be legal in more jurisdictions.
I'm between this and the T7 This is slightly faster (about 3pmh) Slightly more accurate speedometer Way better on incline Way better off-road Capability of a third or even fourth battery in a bag, making range 120 or 160 miles with hot-swap on the road. Smaller and easier handling T7 is Significantly cheaper ($700) 110-130 miles range without needing to purchase additional batteries (looks like about $400 each, making this bike over $1000 cheaper) Has a rack on the back and on the front for a back seat or two cargo baskets. Folds up quite small for fitting into the back of my car My girlfriend lives 110 miles away (one-way) and I like to visit her on the weekends. I'd go out with my backpack. Mostly road shoulder to get there. Have never done it on bike. I'm also thinking about converting to van life full time and using the e-bike for short commutes, like to a gym for a shower, laundry, groceries, etc. I also have a jackery 160, 240, and 300 solar generators for charging on the go (but the solar panels are a bit bulky and the batteries are a bit heavy, which can restrict to van charging only). I think I would rather have extra features on a better bike in use, but it would be wild if I could bike to my girlfriend once in a while. What do you recommend? One of these bikes or something else?
The wider the bike tire =' s more contact to the road (resistance) which means more consumption of battery power. I think e-bike companies should go no wider than a 3" tire.
@@isawit9722 I agree; I told someone the other day that the bike builders industry should really go no wider than 3" tires. I think that 3" gives a better balance and appearance to a larger scaled Utility e-bike.
Out of curiosity, do you have to return the bikes after the review? If not, do you resell or donate them? Because that is a lot of bikes (and scooters) to keep in storage.
Good evening Matt what would be the best way to get in touch with you my son has been following your channel he’s 14 he’s currently fighting cancer for his third time and he’s interested in getting an EBike so he can get around the neighborhood. He liked that Wired freedom with the shocks he sent them an email. They said they were too new of a company to be able to give out a free bike or a discount on their bike.
For the price, the wired freedom is a better deal.... Full suspension is the way to go This bike does not have it... Nor does it have a back rack or fenders
I agree that $2200 is way too much for this bike. they offer fewer accessories like a rear light, and it's a 750w fat tire ... a velotric nomad is 1400 bucks.
After all the ebikes you have tested i feel a bit sad you didnt test the 2 model i have 😂😂😂 The gotrax EBE2 ( that was a mistake ) but it lead me to get the Hiboy P6 and i am in heaven since ive put hydraulic brakes on it . The gotrax not much worth mention but i think the Hiboy P6 deserve a review from you . His price is around 1k usd right now . I ll sell the gotrax ,keep the Hiboy for winter and next buy will be the revibikes prowler for summer 😎 it look so nice . good review as usual .
Hello Matt there is no email address to message you and I was wondering if Ridstar DC-26 1500 watt 20ah 26” full suspension foldable bike is something you will be reviewing. Lots of great features for a low price. I was looking to purchase this bike for awhile but no one has reviewed it. Please help out a loyal follower and look forward to seeing you get over 100000 subs for 2024.
I was surprised it handled the sand so well after not being able to go up the 20% hill incline without a rollout. Maybe the sand being hard packed made the difference. I made this comment before I finished the video and realized after I continued watching I repeated what you said about the sand. 😂
So unfair while they give few minutes of review get them for free while we the costumer pay full price you talking about 2k bikes if everyone should be able to review to get free ebike right this needs to change
They're getting paid to write a positive review. They deny that's what's going on but the reviews are almost always 95% positive and they don't want to screw up a good thing because if they do a negative review they will never see another free bike. This is why you have to take what they say with a grain of salt
Only buy this bike. If you're willing to put money to make it better, you cannot get parts for it and Customer service suck. They want you to text them pictures and everything. If you don't mind that but just be aware you will not be able to get parts for it 'cause every time there's something wrong with they want you to send pictures. Then they'll tell you that there's nothing wrong with your bye so lead this bike alone. Goodbye you, if you wanna plan on making it better with american parts, but do not buy it cuz, you cannot buy parts from them
This bike doesn't qualify as even a class 3 e-bike therefore it is classified as a two-wheel motor vehicle and more specifically a motorcycle. That means that it is illegal for you to ride it in bike Lanes, paths, Trails or bikeways . It is illegal for you to ride it in parks, on sidewalks, boardwalks or beaches . In fact not only does it have to be registered and plated you are required to carry liability insurance. You 20%er Jeff Spicolis are going to ruin it for everyone.
If someone told you he's in L.A., would it put that missing piece into your incomplete puzzle? Of course not. Your repetitive inane babble will continue on until you're back on prescribed psychotropics.
Regurgitating the manufacturers claim that they’ll get 80 miles on a charge with one 20ah battery is a lie, even with a second battery its best case under normal driving conditions.. You know it, you should be ashamed of yourself lying to your viewers.
Why don't you watch a few videos before you become insulting and tossing accusations, he does plenty of range tests on manufacturers claims, he wouldn't be doing a proper review if he didn't include what the manufacturers states. Do better.
the bike with a singoe battery can do 60miles going 20 mph. Its very much possible to do 80 miles going 10 mph which is the speed a out of shape dude would do on a traditional bike. Nice try Karen
@TailHappyTV quit being a bad example to the kids watching these vids and I'll go away. I noticed you doing 35 on shared use (pedestrians and bicycles) paths and I see you're still blowing through stop signs...
