Fun that you would mention the random number generator based suggestion algorithm. I watched your pixel city video something like 8 years ago and it convinced me that I would do my bachelors thesis on procedural generation. Since then I haven't seen a video from you. I think I've seen your name on escapist, but - to prove your point - I don't think I've ever read them. I guess I should though. Today youtube decided to recommend your vulkan video to me.
hey, im a fallout geek and after watching an oxhorn video about lore YOU got recommended to me, especially the video of bethesda not understanding the fallout. So at least the algorithm doesnt hide! i have binge watched alot of your more "recent" material and they appealed to me as a young gamer, i shared them with my friends that are also in the young and gamer etiqueta and they seemed to enjoy your content as I did. your channel looks a like a jewel in the wasteland that is the internet and youtube!
I leave this comment as an offering to the algorithm gods. On a more relevant note: I love your content Shamus, I'm glad you're doing this. On a less (?) relevant note, I find your voice incredibly soothing and relaxing, I wish all your content had an audio option, narrated by you. I'd pay for that If I had money ;)
I have to say I'm surprised I just clicked on this video which was recommended by youtube and I instantly subscribed I know you're gonna make a wonderful content keep it up man
I was going to go subscribe, but then I noticed that apparently I already am subscribed and just forgot about it. ...What I'm saying is it's good to have you back.
I'm looking forward to your new content plan. I first became your "fan" when I discovered your awesome procedurally generated "Pixel City" eye-candy/screen-saver many many years ago.
Really looking forward to your videos. Used to visit your site constantly and loved the web series (city of heroes, Half life, etc), and the series you did on the more technical stuff like when you created a procedural generated city and also a minecraft type engine. (Oh, gosh, I hope those were yours and I'm not confusing it with something else).
Didn't actually subscribe back then since your video series didn't seem to be continued. Those reset button videos were really interesting though. Much more in depth than what most game related channels cover. I like! :) Only today realised this new video series is from you. Nice! You now have a whopping 6 subscribers ;P
oh man finaly you do more, i liked your older contend quite alot especialy the video about GTA which i watched probably 15 times allready because its so good
dunno people always complain about doing actual writing or video editing but that's like 2 best parts, that's where is the creative work happens. i like video editing
Random encouraging comment ... this was a nice intro, and yeah it is all hard and takes too much time. But if it gives your son time to get in some editing work - which is critical for anyone aspiring to work in that space - then even better. Good luck - I have subscribed and hope to enjoy and share your content and do my little part to help out.
Don't like to comment on TS blog's articles, because I'm living in Eastern Europe, and by the time I wake up and read the article, it’s already drowning in the stream of comments from people in the Western Hemisphere :) I hope everything will be different here. Thank you for the truthful words about RU-vid, btw.
I've seen this kinda videos that try to come out of hiatus announce what they planning to do. 90% of them can't do it and remain hiatus. RU-vid is shit, so what any other online platform is the same, just pick your poison.
I like your blog, but it honestly it's not fun to go through it. Even with the archive, it's hard to tell what blog post will interest me just based on the title sometimes.
It's also hard to find stuff on the site. I know Bob "Mrbtongue" Case is a guest writer, but how can I see all the articles written by him? I dunno lol.
